Country View Sleepout, a property with a garden and a terrace, is situated in Hamilton, 13 km from Waikato Stadium, 14 km from Hamilton Gardens, as well as 27 km from Mystery Creek Events Centre. I booked my mum and dad in there to stay at short notice with their two dogs. They said the owner was lovely. The dogs were welcome, the rural location was perfect, and room was just right. Grateful to the owners who nicely received us even though we had booked in the very last minute.

A good location for a relaxing holiday in Port Waikato, Te Karaka Lodge is a farm stay surrounded by views of the mountain. Everything is perfect about this place. The road from Auckland to the property was a bit rocky but totally worth the trouble. It is such a quiet relaxing hideaway and this is what I have always envisioned of NZ. Aaron and Danielle are wonderful hosts and make you feel welcomed and at ease the whole time. The dinner prepared by Chef Dom is also superb. Have to come back again for a longer stay!

Cleverly designed and built so that visitors can wake and see - from their beds - beautiful views all around, including the nearby field of alpacas! All the facilities are stylish and high spec, and everything is pristine clean. If you’re able to get up around 7.30/8am, you can help Neil feed the family’s alpacas and goats. And there are fantail birds filling the pine trees by the room pods, and fully grown (and still alive) kauri trees on the farm; it’s very special here.

28 km from Hamilton Gardens in Ngaruawahia, Perma Ridge Farmstay offers accommodation with access to a hot tub and spa facilities. It was a kids adventure playground - trampoline, swings, spa pool and swimming pool, chickens, strawberries, etc. We had a lovely time!
