Waikato Stadium is 13 km from the farm stay and Hamilton Gardens is 14 km away. Very tidy, great location and the bowl of fresh fruit on the way in was a fantastic gesture. Having met up with the Labradoodle and their owner (one of the hosts) after dinner out we were even happier with our choice.

Very nice, modern, well furnished and equiped apartment with nice kitchen and comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious, fresh home made bread, house eggs, home made jogurt was fabulous and fruits from the garden, milk and orange juice was on the fridge and home made cookies were absolutely delicious. I’m coffee lover so I appreciated nesspresso machine with milk steamer (fresh milk was available in the fridge ). I was also very nicely suprised with dyson hairdryer which you can’t see even in the most luxurious hotel. Moreover Kylie (host) was very nice, let our dauther to play in their garden, she let her feed her chickens and ship and let us to take some fruits from her garden. We stayed just for one night, but it was great stay and when we’ll come back to New Zealand we’ll definitely stay here again. Absolutely recommend Matamata country B&B 👍

Had a wonderful stay at Te Karaka Lodge, Aaron and Danielle were amazing hosts and Franz cooked very delicious food! It is isolated out in the countryside and exactly what we were looking for some time to unwind, it was amazing to see all the stars as we luckily has clear sky's our second night. Everything is new and a high standard, beautiful design inside. We also loved Steve the friendly cat.

He took us to see the Alpacas even though we arrived later than expected. He was extremely knowledgeable and made us feel very welcome. The accommodation was enough for us, very clean and overlooking beautiful rolling hills. Very peaceful and secluded, watched over by the resident curious (but shy) male Alpaca in the adjoining paddock. Neil even took the trouble to bring the alpacas over in the morning so that we could feed them. Would highly recommend and can not possibly give less than a 10/10!
