The Alma Hotel exceeded our expectations in all regards. The hotel, our room, the staff and location were all superlative. Hidalgo and Nelson booked us with good restaurants, were so helpful with travel plans, and went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Breakfast of omelets, baked goods, fruit and coffee was generous and delicious. The Cuidad Vieja was a lovely place to stay, plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and it was quiet and safe.

WiFi is free. the service was immaculate the staff is super friendly. francisco was always ready to help and even if he didn’t have an answer at the moment he went out of his way to find an answer. located in the ‘old town’ it has a good location to explore the city.

Only 200 metres from Solis Theatre, Hotel Palacio offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and cable TV in central Montevideo. The Harbour Market in the old city is 1 km away. Very great location, the recepcionist Maria was really kind and friendly, giving us tips to where to go around

Since April 1st we moved to a new, more modern, 6-story building located in the Old City, close to the main tourist attractions of the city. Nice location and amazing staff allowed me earlier check in. Room was beautiful better than in pictures

Located 100 metres from Montevideo’s historic, financial, and commercial centre, this design hotel features self-catering accommodation with sea views and free Wi-Fi. Great location, two blocks from the waterfront and central to the old city. Several nice design touches in the room. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly and quite helpful staff. My son got bit by a dog in Buenos Aires and needed to get his third rabies vaccine in Montevideo. The staff made phone calls for us and found out the hospital we needed to visit to get his vaccine and the hours they were open for this. She was a real life-saver in a complicated situation for us. Would gladly stay here again.

Don is an exclusive boutique hotel with art deco architecture and contemporary interiors. Stylish but low key and super friendly attentive staff. Great bed.

Geronimo was a very welcoming host; providing us with great local recommendations and conversation.
