Located in the historic district of Montevideo, Alma Histórica Boutique Hotel offers sophisticated rooms with an elegant style and free WiFi access. Guests can enjoy a full daily breakfast. The brreakfast was really, really good. Fresh ingredients, fresh and home made orange juice and muesli, fruits. Not a whole lot, but really more than sufficient giving the care and quality put in the breakfast.

Sleek, modern décor and comfortable rooms can be enjoyed at Puerto Mercado Hotel, 100 metres from Mercado del Puerto Cultural Centre. WiFi is free. The staff were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was varied (sweet and savoury).

Only 200 metres from Solis Theatre, Hotel Palacio offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and cable TV in central Montevideo. The Harbour Market in the old city is 1 km away. I rarely give 10. But everything was perfect! So I think it deserves 10. Nice staff. Excellent location. Clean. Charming, if you like old and well maintained. Free coffee and morning bread, which was not mentioned in the description.

Since April 1st we moved to a new, more modern, 6-story building located in the Old City, close to the main tourist attractions of the city. Location at a heart of old town, walking distance to all the attractions in the old town. Newly renovated building with working elevator!

Located 100 metres from Montevideo’s historic, financial, and commercial centre, this design hotel features self-catering accommodation with sea views and free Wi-Fi. Every aspect of the place exceeded my expectations. Excellent value for the price. The host was also fantastic.

Don is an exclusive boutique hotel with art deco architecture and contemporary interiors. Really cool location right opposite the fantastic old market. The room was beautiful. Stunning in a supercool designer kinda way. Super comfy bed. Great omelette. Wonderful staff member on reception.

The German owner told us that his re-booking rate is phenomenal and it's easy to see why. These mini-apartments are packed with tech, equipment, beautiful furniture and all mod cons. Lovely roof terrace with small pool for relaxing (& a sauna inside too). What a great place to stay and discover Montevideo from - absolutely fantastic.

Boasting a shared lounge, FAUNA Montevideo is situated in Montevideo, less than 1 km from Independencia Square. I could not have asked for a better place to stay during my visit to Montevideo! This gem of a hotel mixes nostalgic nods to the buildings past with modern touches. It is located in the heart of the Old City, walking distance to many of the cities important sites and many excellent restaurants and cafes. But the best part was the warm hospitality of Jerónimo, who went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and to give me advice of what to see and do--even after I left the hotel! I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Uruguay!
