Located in the historic district of Montevideo, Alma Histórica Boutique Hotel offers sophisticated rooms with an elegant style and free WiFi access. Guests can enjoy a full daily breakfast. The Alma Hotel exceeded our expectations in all regards. The hotel, our room, the staff and location were all superlative. Hidalgo and Nelson booked us with good restaurants, were so helpful with travel plans, and went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Breakfast of omelets, baked goods, fruit and coffee was generous and delicious. The Cuidad Vieja was a lovely place to stay, plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and it was quiet and safe.

Sleek, modern décor and comfortable rooms can be enjoyed at Puerto Mercado Hotel, 100 metres from Mercado del Puerto Cultural Centre. WiFi is free. It is a basic and well maintained hotel. Ruben in reception and the lady attending the breakfast were very helpful and friendly.

Only 200 metres from Solis Theatre, Hotel Palacio offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and cable TV in central Montevideo. The Harbour Market in the old city is 1 km away. I rarely give 10. But everything was perfect! So I think it deserves 10. Nice staff. Excellent location. Clean. Charming, if you like old and well maintained. Free coffee and morning bread, which was not mentioned in the description.

Since April 1st we moved to a new, more modern, 6-story building located in the Old City, close to the main tourist attractions of the city. Beautiful building with nice rooms, curtains in front of the beds. Very clean. Bar and rooftop place.

Boasting a shared lounge, FAUNA Montevideo is situated in Montevideo, less than 1 km from Independencia Square. Communication was excellent. The owners were extremely helpful. It is a well appointed property with very comfortable rooms. The location couldn’t be better. We highly recommend Fauna!

Located in Montevideo, near Solis Theatre and Independencia Square, Habitación privada en apartamento cat friendly is a recently renovated property, featuring, a terrace and shared lounge. The beds were comfortable, with sufficient storage to keep things neat. The rain shower faucet made for an awesome shower. WiFi was stable and with good speed. The kitchen was extremely well supplied and easily shared with Fabiana. And Fabiana is by far the BEST hostess that I’ve EVER had. She had ready a list of attractions and their hours and over the month notified me of new events happening. She helped me extensively with a personal issue that arose. I felt like family. She worked diligently daily to keep her house tidy as she has several cats. The location of being 1 block off the Ramblas was perfect for nightly sunset relaxation and daily exercise.
