Offering Japanese-style rooms with river views and an en suite bath, Takao Kanko Hotel is 600 metres from Jingo-ji Temple. It is a beautiful location, easily reached by bus and an easy walk. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. The food is excellent. The walking around the hotel is lovely. The riverside patio is gorgeous. The hotel provided a free shuttle at the end of our stay. We loved everything about this experience.

Along the Kiyotakigawa River, Momojiya Annex offers traditional rooms with a private open-air bath and forest views. It features public baths and free wired internet in public areas. Such beautiful surroundings in nature. The property itself and the stunning scenery around it with great hikes and temples. The attention to detail by the Staff, the feeling of a truly authentic Ryokan experience was excellent. In more ways than I could ever express, this stay exceeded our expectations.

A quiet traditional Japanese inn along the Kiyotakigawa River, Momojiya of Takao offers Japanese-style rooms with forest views, public baths with mountain views and free wired internet in public... What an amazing place! A real highlight of our trip. We reserved the private onsen and had a lovely steam while looking out at nature. The meal was stunning - both for location and the whole experience. Would highly recommend this place - lovely staff and so helpful!

A 10-minute drive from Kinkaku-ji Temple, Ryokan Yamazaki offers a hot public bath and serves breakfast and traditional dinners for an additional fee. Beautiful traditional ryokan with lovely garden in the middle to enjoy. Choice of western or traditional Japanese breakfast. Comfy and very spacious rooms.
