The facilities, the location (green, peaceful), the food and most importantly the staff. Everyone was very friendly and very helpful. If you want to get a way and experience good old style, traditional Japan. This is the place to go.

Along the Kiyotakigawa River, Momojiya Annex offers traditional rooms with a private open-air bath and forest views. It features public baths and free wired internet in public areas. The place is magical. Hidden in the forest, with beautiful river. Our room was spacious, with tatami floor and small private garden with hot bathtube. Meals were delicious. Staff was very helpfull and friendly. It was perfect stay.

A 10-minute drive from Kinkaku-ji Temple, Ryokan Yamazaki offers a hot public bath and serves breakfast and traditional dinners for an additional fee. Our favorite hotel we stayed in during our trip to Japan. We dreamt of a Ryokan and we got exactly what we had in mind : peace, comfort and a bit of nature.
