It is a beautiful location, easily reached by bus and an easy walk. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. The food is excellent. The walking around the hotel is lovely. The riverside patio is gorgeous. The hotel provided a free shuttle at the end of our stay. We loved everything about this experience.

Tranquilla locanda tradizionale giapponese situata lungo il fiume Kiyotakigawa, il Momojiya of Takao offre camere in stile nipponico con vista sulla foresta, bagni pubblici con vista sulle montagne e... Customer service was outstanding. The food was delicious and we had a beautiful relaxing time in the private onsen. Good area to have a small walk as well (visited temples around). It was serene and peaceful.

A 10-minute drive from Kinkaku-ji Temple, Ryokan Yamazaki offers a hot public bath and serves breakfast and traditional dinners for an additional fee. Beautiful traditional ryokan with lovely garden in the middle to enjoy. Choice of western or traditional Japanese breakfast. Comfy and very spacious rooms.
