Good sized unit, discounted rate for longer stays, lots of knickknacks for air quality, and generally very quiet. I would absolutely stay here again.

The rooms where large even by western standards, more than 40 m2 and the bathroom with the tub was wonderful. Also it in a very quiet location so there is no noise of any kind.

Right in front of Kyoto Imperial Palace, Kyoto Garden Palace offers free WiFi in all areas of the hotel. The hotel features a restaurant, and it provides bicycle rentals and massage services. Outstanding staff, especially at the Front Desk who go out of their way to assist in whatever question or need you may have. Location on the west side of the Imperial Palace Gardens is ideal. Excellent value Japanese breakfast with an option for western style. Hotel restaurant overlooks a beautiful Japanese garden. Second floor meeting rooms are welcoming with an expansive and comfortable lobby area with large windows with beautiful views of the Imperial Gardens.

Regarding the price levels in Kyoto during peak season, this is a good deal. Modern hotel at an international standard. The hotel is close to one of the tourist bus lines that takes you to all the sights, the imperial palace and the castle are in walking distance. Just note that there are two Livemax hotels in this area, I went to the wrong one initially. Just stick to the address in the description and don't just search the name on Google maps like I did.
