Newly renovated during the spring of 2023, Hotel Local 101 is an independent hotel quietly tucked away in the heart of downtown Reykjavik, on a charming street made up of classical Icelandic homes. Very nice place close to basically everything in Reykjavík. We could walk from the hotel to the main tourist attractions of the city, which was very nice. Also, cheers to Alma at the reception who was always very kind to us before and during our stay. I must also add that the breakfast was always very nice and enjoyable.

The location was fab, there was a washer and dryer (that were both clean and worked well), which was super handy of us and one of the main reason for booking this place however there was so much to love, it was clean, had cooking facilities (great for a family with a toddler) and the location. We stayed on the on 3rd level with lift access and check in was a breeze. Would highly recommend this place

Loved quiet neighborhood, how close to downtown that it was so easy to walk to and from everything we did (catching tour buses, going to museums, eating out at restaurants, going food shopping and even seeing Northern Lights from the city). Beds were also very comfy. We took car service to and from airport, so we didn't have a car.

We recently had the pleasure of staying 4 nights at Edda’s SK52 by the Sea, Unique spacious luxury airbnb, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The property was impeccably clean, beautifully & very tastefully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail was thoughtfully considered to the smallest details, making it feel like a home away from home. The location was perfect—conveniently situated near Reykjavik (10mins drive) and was a great location to kickstart all our sighting tours/drive to the Golden Circle, and the other parts of southern of Iceland. One of the highlights was the spacious bathroom, which was a real luxury—plenty of room to unwind and relax after a day of exploring. The kitchen island was another standout feature, perfect for both cooking and socializing. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring we had restful nights and woke up refreshed and to a great view each morning. Free parking, with it's close proximity to our stay is a huge bonus. Edda, our host, is the most gracious and generous person ever. Her warm hospitality made us feel right at home. She was incredibly responsive, attentive, and yet provided us with all the privacy we needed. We could not ask for anything more. Edda’s SK52 by the Sea, Unique spacious luxury airbnb exceeded all expectations. We would highly recommend Edda’s Airbnb to anyone looking for a top-notch accommodation experience!
