Honjo was since the beginning so nice and responsive to all our questions. He picked us up at the station, explained what we could do during the day, gave us bikes for free. The room was so beautiful, japanese style with tatami floors, and with a balcony from where you could see Mount Fuji! Toilet and shower super clean and spacious as well. Surrounding of Honjo's house are beautiful, full nature and you can visit his personal shrine, where he has designs and the history of Umeya. Really nothing bad to say about this experience. Totally recommended it and will definitely come back for more peaceful days.

We had an amazing stay at this lovely spot near Mount Fuji! The building may be old, but it’s clean and well-maintained, giving the place a cozy, home-like feel. I especially loved the traditional style of the accommodation, it really added to the authentic experience. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. I had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning in the future. Highly recommend!

Sayuri and her family were very welcoming. The location is very practical for visiting the pagoda by bike and the region. Her property is traditional, well apportioned and serviced and the fact she only rents to one family makes it special for a family stop. Sayuri is exceptionally kind, speaks good English (which is helpful), has recommendations that we very much appreciated and practical maps. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the region.

The host was super earnest and really took the effort to make us feel comfortable and totally at home. We were wowed by such warm hospitality. We also enjoyed the food and clean family baths.

The location was great, the views of mount Fuji amazing. The host was very friendly and nice, and she helped us do the barbeque, which was a great experience. We highly recommend trying out the barbeque while staying there. The room was very comfortable and warm, especially bed. The kitchen was very well equipped.

I like that it's modern and new. The place is clean and comfortable with washing machine and dryer where you can wash your clothes easily. There's even a sauna that you can hop in if you want to relax yourself.

The rooms of this property are very spacious and suitable for our family of 11 (inclusive of 6 adults, 3 teens and 2 elementary kids). In Japan, there are very limited properties with at least 2 toilets and 2 baths/showers that can conveniently and comfortably accommodate big groups like ours. For us, what we consider ideal is one toilet and one bath/shower for every 5 persons. Yoshimura ooike sense is a gem! The cleanliness is superb and the entire property is well-maintained!
