It was very comfortable, spacious and offers all the necessary amenities. I had to opportunity to speak to the owner before leaving who was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place to couples and small families as an ideal starting point for a hike up the mountains.

I was allowed to check in early and was shown the property and given recommendations on things to do.

Overlooking the lush Municipal Garden, The Wine Lodges by An Island Apart offers apartments in Funchal city centre. Wow! It was better than the pictures. This place has lots of space and character, great for a family. The location is great. The views of the sea and mountains are amazing. We learned about the Blandy family accidentally on the city tour bus.

Vila Marta is perfect for a stay in Madeira, exceptionally clean, welcoming, and the best of the best is the team: Don Joao and Son Bruno. They are the summit of customer orientation, warm, helpful, attentive and available. Could not recommend them more, they are the best!

Situat în mijlocul unor grădini tropicale cu vedere la Oceanul Atlantic, Suite Hotel Eden Mar - Porto Bay oferă o piscină cu formăm neregulată în aer liber. We stayed at The Residence hotel, part of the Portobay complex, next to Eden Mar. We were upgraded at check in without being told and it was a nice surprise. The apartment we received was very big, think of a bigger apartment with a “small” hotel room included which had its own bathroom. Everything was very clean and, even though we did not use much of, the kitchenette was equipped with everything necessary for cooking. Beds were comfortable and in good shape even though some of the furniture pieces were showing their age. There were 5 swimming pools available, some indoor (one which allowed for swimming outdoors as well), one of them heated and two were suitable for little children. A gym, indoor and outdoor play areas for kids, as well as a hobby room were all available for free access. A SPA is available, we only went there for a massage that was nice. People are extremely helpful and nice, we really felt really good. On top of everything the included breakfast buffet was very generous, even with sparkling wine available, and one could eat indoors or outdoors on the terrace. We would come back and choose the same hotel without hesitation. Funchal downtown is within walking distance, although maybe this is not an option for everyone a quick taxi ride is also possible. Nevertheless, location is also very good.

The staff. I think the name of the guy in the reception was named Hugo. He was excelent, and the welcome we got from Vera at the breakfast was also very Good. The location was also really Good. We brought an 8 months old baby and there was no problem getting around.
