The apartment was very central and well equipped. A charming host who arranged a taxi from the airport and was so waiting to greet us. At the end of town, close to shops, restaurants, bars, beach… Apartment is perfect size, comfortable for two people. Check in was great. I was allowed to check in early and was shown the property and given recommendations on things to do.

The location in the very center of the old town. Two blocks away from a big shopping mall with a supermarket.

La Vila Marta está en São Martinho, a menos de 10 minutos en auto de Funchal, y ofrece alojamiento con terraza privada y vistas al océano Atlántico y las plantaciones de plátanos. Vila Marta is perfect for a stay in Madeira, exceptionally clean, welcoming, and the best of the best is the team: Don Joao and Son Bruno. They are the summit of customer orientation, warm, helpful, attentive and available. Could not recommend them more, they are the best!

El Suite Hotel Eden Mar - Porto Bay está rodeado de jardines tropicales con vistas al océano Atlántico y cuenta con una pileta al aire libre de estilo laguna. We stayed at The Residence hotel, part of the Portobay complex, next to Eden Mar. We were upgraded at check in without being told and it was a nice surprise. The apartment we received was very big, think of a bigger apartment with a “small” hotel room included which had its own bathroom. Everything was very clean and, even though we did not use much of, the kitchenette was equipped with everything necessary for cooking. Beds were comfortable and in good shape even though some of the furniture pieces were showing their age. There were 5 swimming pools available, some indoor (one which allowed for swimming outdoors as well), one of them heated and two were suitable for little children. A gym, indoor and outdoor play areas for kids, as well as a hobby room were all available for free access. A SPA is available, we only went there for a massage that was nice. People are extremely helpful and nice, we really felt really good. On top of everything the included breakfast buffet was very generous, even with sparkling wine available, and one could eat indoors or outdoors on the terrace. We would come back and choose the same hotel without hesitation. Funchal downtown is within walking distance, although maybe this is not an option for everyone a quick taxi ride is also possible. Nevertheless, location is also very good.

El Pestana Casino Studios está situado a 1,5 km de la playa de Gorgulho - Gavinas y ofrece una pileta al aire libre, una terraza y alojamientos con aire acondicionado, balcón y conexión de wifi... * Maravillosamente bien ubicado. * Habitación amplia , limpia y muy cómoda . * A pesar de que no cuenta con servicios propios salvo una piscina exterior , te permiten usar los servicios del hotel cercano de 5 estrellas de la misma compañía que sinceramente son una gozada . * Iolanda en recepción y el chico que nos hizo el check out (no sabemos el nombre) fueron excelentes con nosotros .
