Nice breakfast in the nearby hotel 1 min walk. Jacuzzi on the roof, massages etc in the nearby sister hotel . Even has a little kitchen inside the rooms so you can cook a small meal, have tea/coffee. We had a great time.

Located in Curral das Freiras and only 15 km from Marina do Funchal, Valley of Nuns Holiday Apartments provides accommodation with quiet street views, free WiFi and free private parking. I really enjoyed my stay in the apartment. It was very comfortable, spacious and offers all the necessary amenities. I had to opportunity to speak to the owner before leaving who was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place to couples and small families as an ideal starting point for a hike up the mountains.

Funchalissa sijaitsevassa majoituspaikassa on keittotila ja ilmainen WiFi. The apartment was very central and well equipped. A charming host who arranged a taxi from the airport and was so waiting to greet us. Furthermore, he phoned me the day after we had left to say I had left a couple of personal items to arrange their return. I would recommend this apartment as everything was excellent.

Apartments Madeira Old Town sijaitsee Funchalissa 5 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä rannasta ja Funchalin vanhastakaupungista. Taksikuski ei meinannut löytää hotellia (osoite hiukan kinkkinen) ja soitti hotelliin. Hotellin yhteyshenkilö tuli ulos vastaan iloisesti vilkuttaen. Otti meidät vastaan hyvin ystävällisesti ja näytti huoneistomme. Olimme tunnin etuajassa, mutta tästä ei mainittu eikä tarvinnut neuvotella 🙂 Olimme varanneet keskitasoisen huoneiston. Iloiseksi yllätykseksi saimme kuulla, että meitä odottaakin uusi huoneisto. Huoneisto näytti todellakin uudelta ja siinä oli myös parveke, toisin kuin alunperin varaamassamme. Lisäbonuksena oli vielä kattoterassi, jossa oli pieni uima-allaskin.

Upeaan kunnalliseen puutarhaan avautuva Wine Lodges tarjoaa huoneistoja Funchalin kaupungin keskustassa. Wow! It was better than the pictures. This place has lots of space and character, great for a family. The location is great. The views of the sea and mountains are amazing. We learned about the Blandy family accidentally on the city tour bus.

Vila Marta is perfect for a stay in Madeira, exceptionally clean, welcoming, and the best of the best is the team: Don Joao and Son Bruno. They are the summit of customer orientation, warm, helpful, attentive and available. Could not recommend them more, they are the best!

Suite Hotel Eden Mar ‑ Porto Bayhin kuuluu laguunityylinen ulkouima-allas ja trooppinen puutarha, josta on näköala Atlantin valtamerelle. We stayed at The Residence hotel, part of the Portobay complex, next to Eden Mar. We were upgraded at check in without being told and it was a nice surprise. The apartment we received was very big, think of a bigger apartment with a “small” hotel room included which had its own bathroom. Everything was very clean and, even though we did not use much of, the kitchenette was equipped with everything necessary for cooking. Beds were comfortable and in good shape even though some of the furniture pieces were showing their age. There were 5 swimming pools available, some indoor (one which allowed for swimming outdoors as well), one of them heated and two were suitable for little children. A gym, indoor and outdoor play areas for kids, as well as a hobby room were all available for free access. A SPA is available, we only went there for a massage that was nice. People are extremely helpful and nice, we really felt really good. On top of everything the included breakfast buffet was very generous, even with sparkling wine available, and one could eat indoors or outdoors on the terrace. We would come back and choose the same hotel without hesitation. Funchal downtown is within walking distance, although maybe this is not an option for everyone a quick taxi ride is also possible. Nevertheless, location is also very good.
