Everything was lovely, we did love it, we have used the company before and we were expecting the same level on this property as well, and it has not disappointed us.

Set amid the shops on Alton's main street "Not to be confused with Alton (the home of Alton Towers) in the Midlands" the Swan Hotel is a historical building that dates back to 1377. Amazingly helpful staff with great service and friendly attitude, warmly decorated, clean rooms. A great location in the middle of Alton. Would definitely be back again.

I like everything about The Poacher, but especially the people who worked there, and particularly the managers: Jayne and Jon. Terrific people who went out of their way to make my stay an enjoyable one. I stayed in four other inns during this trip, and my stay at The Poacher was, by far, the nicest.

It was at a convenient location for my visit, walking distance to Jane Austen house or Alton. Alternatively you can take the bus. It's cute, tiny, but has everything needed for a short stay. It was quiet during the night. The pub next to it had really good dinner and breakfast, with attentive staff and nice local people hanging out.

White Hart in Alton provides accommodations with a bar and barbecue facilities. This bed and breakfast provides free private parking, luggage storage space, and free Wifi. Beautiful inn with comfortable rooms and very kind and helpful staff. My daughter and I shared a room and they appointed it with hot chocolate and tea, the TV had good kids programs available and the downstairs pub had kids menus and was very kind to children overall. It was also stylishly decorated with beautiful country touches, delicious food and drinks, and the outdoor garden was lovely.
