El trato del personal también súper amigable y atento y la ubicación a un par de minutos hablando de la parada de autobuses.

El Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya ofrece baños termales naturales y se encuentra a 15 minutos a pie de la estación JR de Tendo y a 50 km de Sendai. Wonderful room with amazing private Onsen. The Kaiseki dinner was beautifully prepared and a unique experience. The Ryokan team always made sure to accommodate our wishes. We really enjoyed our stay even though our Japanese was very basic.

El Hayamakan sirve comidas tradicionales de varios platos y cuenta con baños termales cubiertos y al aire libre. The staff were brilliant and very friendly despite a language barrier with some, shuttling me to and from the station and helping me book a dinner reservation separate from my room booking. The room was as described but that's not a negative, it was a great experience with the footbath and private onsen. Recommend the dinner highly for a local kaiseki offering in a private room.

Tamonkan se encuentra en Tsuruoka, a 24 km de Acuario Kamo Aquarium, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y terraza. Delicious food, and the owners were very welcoming and spoke English well. Would come back anytime.

El Miyamaso Takamiya está situado a 10 minutos a pie del teleférico de Zao Sky Cable y cuenta con 9 baños termales naturales. An exceptional and authentic experience. The food was delicious, the staff was so welcoming and professional. This place heals your body and soul. 12/10!! We will be back for sure, recommended!!!

Mogamitakayu Zenshichinoyu Ohira se encuentra en Zao Onsen, a 8 min a pie de Estación de esquí Zao Onsen, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y acceso a pie de pista. Very beautiful onsen. Mix bath and private onsen

Tendo Hotel está en Tendō, a 30 km de Estación de esquí Zao Onsen, y dispone de alojamiento con bicicletas gratis, parking privado gratis y salón de uso común. Free shuttle service (and you don't need to wait for 5-6 people to fill the car). Excellent hot springs with a waterfall. Spacious clean room. Fast check-in and check-out. Awesome location, 5 min away from Tendo station.

Oyado Morinone está en Kaminoyama, a 17 km de Estación de esquí Zao Onsen y a 19 min a pie de Estación de Kaminoyama-Onsen. This was the most elegant and restful stay of my life. Food is incredible - deserves a bib gourmand! Rooms are large and comfortable with a view. Onsen is lovely. The best is the free alcohol and hot drink service in the evenings around the fireplace. Definitely stay here if you can! It’s once in a lifetime type stuff

Yamagata The Takinami está en Nanyo, a 32 km de Estación de esquí Zao Onsen, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y restaurante. First and foremost: This is not a hotel for extended stay. This is an unforgettable experience for a day. You are expected to mostly stay at this traditional hotel and relax as much as possible. The rooms are spacious, and the beds are comfortable. Each room has its own outside onsen (hot spring bath). Tip: take a room on the first floor, those bathtubs are carved out of a solid block of stone. The water itself is very hot, but feels absolutely divine and did wonders for my skin. The meals are crazy good. The dinner menu was ~10 courses with locally sourced ingredients. The waiter, general manager and owner took turns explaining in intricate detail what each course meant, where it came from, and why they chose to present it to us. I'm pretty sure the owner also mentioned the cook had a Michelin star - which would explain the unconventional, but delicious creations. The breakfast was Japanese-style, and also very good. I'm not sure what else I should add - the intricate eye for detail and attention the staff gave us (I felt so bad seeing the small Japanese woman carry my heavy luggage to my room, but I wasn't allowed to carry it myself, haha); the free bar with the expensive alcohol at night; the modern interpretation of old history... Not to mention the other included amenities: a shuttle bus, an early tour, live soba making, sake tasting [...] It is pricey, but again: you are NOT paying for a simple hotel night, you are paying for an experience. Full recommendation.

Tsukasaya Ryokan se encuentra a 12 km de Acuario Kamo Aquarium, en el barrio Yutagawa Onsen de Tsuruoka. Of all the hotels and ryokans I stayed at during my two weeks traveling Japan, the night at Tsukasaya Ryokan was by far my favorite. Mrs. Shoji personally came out and greeted me at my taxi. From that moment onward, I felt as if I was receiving an experience personalized just for me. After showing me to my room, Mrs. Shoji informed me of several local attractions (parks, shrines, temples, etc.) that were lovely to visit prior to returning for dinner. Every moment of the stay felt thoughtfully crafted and authentic. The food was delicious, containing many dishes that I had never before experienced. The onsen, while small and enclosed, was at just the right temperature and left my skin feeling the best it has in years. The design of the structure was charming and authentic (as best that a foreigner like myself can judge). The staff were friendly and accommodating.
