Shokinkan is set in Yasugi, 27 km from Lake Shinji, 29 km from Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum, and 25 km from Mizuki Shigeru Museum. This is a traditional ryokan which has great food and really lovely staff. We were so well taken care of. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and varied on each of the 3 days that we stayed. Our room was spacious and had a delightful sitting area. The location within the temple grounds was beautiful. We were picked up and dropped back at Yasugi train station, as well as the Adachi museum. Highly recommended.

Set within less than 1 km of Shimane Museum of Ancient Izumo and a 12-minute walk of Izumo-Taisha Grand Shrine, NIPPONIA Izumo Taisha Shrine Town offers rooms with air conditioning and a private... There were so quiet and peaceful and the staff was so kind.

Well situated in the Arifuku Onsen district of Gotsu, Sangai Ryokan is set 41 km from Nima Sand Museum, 47 km from Iwami Ginzan World Heritage Centre and 10 km from Ogawa Kesseshutei Garden.

縁の宿 北堀 is set in Matsue, 24 km from Mizuki Shigeru Road, 25 km from Atagoyama Park, as well as 26 km from Hirata Honjin Memorial Museum. The food was delicious, cooked by a professional chef. The location was in an ideal area, on the most and it was the most photographed street in Matsue. It was close to all the main museums and the Castle.

Hoshi Ryokan offers simple Japanese-style accommodations with a flat-screen TV. The family is welcoming and discreet. The room was bigger than expected, the meal and breakfast was delicious. Tsuwano ifself is a great place, this minshuku made my stay wonderful.

Ohashikan is a 5-minute drive from JR Matsue Station and a 15-minute walk from Matsue-jo Castle. It offers Japanese-style accommodation with 2 indoor baths, free parking and free Wi-Fi access. Stunning, authentic and clean room(s), kind and understanding staff who spoke to me slowly in Japanese to assist with checkin, and rules were reiterated in English on documents anyway despite Matsue being relatively rural. Absolutely beautiful view at both night and in the morning, I was shocked! Onsen came free with the stay. Zero complaints, the best stay of our trip around Japan.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Onsen Guest House Aobato no Su offers accommodation in Matsue, a few steps from Tamatsukuri Onsen. Free private parking is available on site. Highly recommended guest house. It’s valuable for solo traveler to stay and enjoy the Japanese onsen culture The staff is super nice. They will notice my note and pick up from the JR station. I have lost my watch in the hotel and then the staff help me to deliver it . I really appreciate the help from them.

5.4 km from Lake Shinji in Matsue, Hotel Gyokusen features accommodation with access to a sauna, hot spring bath and public bath. Top to bottom, I’m traveling 16 days, so far best ever. Old style Japanese Life music to so many choice , fancy dinner, great Onsen to its view. But one day to make other day to female , you can have even you stay a day, either morning or night It worth it every penny. Stay there two days. I did one but already scheduled other town, if you do , please try two days

Counting an almost 200-year history, Fukumakan features Japanese-style rooms and freestanding cottages, some overlooking Miho Bay. Beautiful setting, so clean, comfortable and spacious, staff were so friendly and helpful, we had the best time!
