The indoor and outdoor onsen were beautiful and comfortable, as was the lounge. The staff was also exceptionally friendly. This is an excellent choice for a traditional onsen experience with modern comfort.

All rooms have a private toilet and washbasin, while bathroom facilities are shared. Green tea sets with snacks are provided. Our stay at Mount View Hakone was simply wonderful! The room was wide and beautiful and our futon were super comfortable. The staff was kind and helpful, explaining everything in detail. Dinner was absolutely delicious! We really appreciated being able to try Japanese cuisine dishes that you normally cannot find in restaurants, and there were so many different ones! We booked one of the private onsen and it was just so relaxing to be able to relax in the water while admiring the view on the bamboo forest. The ryokan is located a bit further out from Gora, the main town, but to be honest the peace and quiet is exactly what we were going for. The hotel is well connected and has a bus stop right in front of it, so it was easy to reach and move around. Overall, a great stay and definitely worth the trip from Tokyo!

Main Dining Room "The Fujiya" serves French cuisine in an elegant space. Restaurant Cascade offers Western dishes, while Kikka-so serves traditional Japanese kaiseki dinners. A bar, lounge and bakery are available. the hotel facilities were great , the room was huge ; there is free shutteles from the hotel to the train station

The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. We’re from Canada and I brought my Brazilian roomie with me to visit my home country. I truly liked the hot spring and how it’s not a “too touristy” location. We were there in the holiday season but because it’s a hidden jem Ryokan, we were able to have both the “daiyokujo” and “Roten buro” all to ourselves (we did go late at night and early morning). They also have 24h ashiyu (foot hot tub) which was super awesome. I had beer while planning for the next day and just chilled there all by myself for an hr.

The ryokan has a hot spring bath and full-day security. Best customer service, clean, wonderful experience. Food was excellent. Easy to purchase items such as sake and dessert cookies. Arranged for our taxis and shuttle service. Room was spacious and lovely with a wonderful view. Highly recommend.

Guests can use the hot spring bath and the spa facilities, or enjoy mountain views. The place was like a great dream , in the heart of the forest. The staff were very friendly specially Asato-san . The location is great if you plan to visit Hakone , beside the bus stop , there is a big 7-eleven 1 bus stop away or 13 min or less walk.
