Featuring 2-star accommodation, Onsen Guest House Tsutaya is situated in Hakone, 6.5 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station and 48 km from Fuji-Q Highland. The hotel was a very nice surprise when we visited Japan. The shared bathroom was a unique experience, the traditional room was worth the visit and the hotel offered a very relaxing onsen. It is in a nice location (near bus stations, among trees), with very friendly and helpful staff.

Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. Breakfast was super good (variety and quality). All staff was very attentive and caring. Onsen was really nice and relaxing.

Boasting rare nigori-yu milky water hot spring baths and , Mount View Hakone offers Japanese-style rooms and Japanese delicacies. Full Japanese experience. Nice traditional bedroom. The Onsen is very nice and the food: definitely a must! Friendly staff and good location. It isn’t modern. As most thing in Japan, it seems a bit vintage but really well maintained.

Opened in 1878, Fujiya Hotel features Meiji Era architecture set in Hakone’s natural beauty. Grand hotel with amazing service and attention to detail. Loved everything about it.

Set in Hakone, 8.3 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, Hakone Gora KARAKU offers accommodation with a sauna, a hot spring bath and a public bath. Very friendly and helpful staff! The service was simply top tier. The dinner and breakfast were amazing. Really enjoyed the private open air bath, especially after running 2 marathons in the 2 week prior. Central location, pretty much a short walk from the Gora station.

In a peaceful part of Hakone, and the property is full of really nice personal touches from the family run business. Which makes it feel extra special. With personalised printed dinner menu, to little kimono for our baby.

Set in Hakone, Centurion Hakone Bettei offers 4-star accommodation with private balconies. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Superb service with extremely polite staffs.

Boasting a hot tub, Hakone Miyanoshita Myojokan is set in Hakone. The 3-star ryokan features mountain views and is 6.2 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station. It was located in a quiet and peaceful area. The room was very clean, and spacious. The onsen, though small, was comfortable and lovely. The hotel manager really helped by recommending an itinerary and provided us with a lot of useful information. He was also a lovely man to have a chat with. Very kind and considerate.

Situated in Hakone, 8.7 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, Suiun provides accommodation with a sauna, a hot spring bath and a public bath. Dinner and breakfast were amazing. Private onsens were easy to use. Property is clean and staff is very friendly.
