城崎温泉 旅館 つばき乃 - Kinosaki Onsen Ryokan Tsubakino 3 stars

Kinosaki Onsen, Toyooka

Set 2.6 km from Kinumaki Shrine, 城崎温泉 旅館 つばき乃 - Kinosaki Onsen Ryokan Tsubakino offers 3-star accommodation in Toyooka and features an open-air bath. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The ryokan has family rooms. We booked the suite and I'm telling you it really was worth the money! :) We visited a more modest onsen earlier and this was like a luxury version of it. We were truly relaxed after our stay. I've never seen a hotel room so beautiful and never had a dinner like that before! Breakfast was luxurious too, japanese style. We reserved a private onsen on check-in and it was so lovely also.

Arima Onsen Taketoritei Maruyama 5 stars

Arima Onsen, Kobe

Taketoritei Maruyama is a non-smoking Japanese-style accommodation featuring natural hot spring baths for private use and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. From its hilltop location a 15-minute walk from Kobe Electric Railway Arima Onsen Station, it offers sweeping views of Arima Onsen. This is a luxury Onsen and worth every penny spent. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful even by Japanese standards. The (8) Private Onsen's themselves are an absolute delight and I recommend maximising your available time to sample as many of them as you can, the outside ones especially. A special mention goes to their shuttle bus service which will take you right to the door of any restaurant in town (my advice is follow their recommended venues) and pick up you again as soon as you call.

Morizuya 4 stars

Kinosaki Onsen, Toyooka

Facing the central shopping street of the Kinosaki Onsen hot spring area, Morizuya offers authentic Japanese-style accommodation, hot spring baths and Japanese dining. Guests can wear colourful yukata robes at the property. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. The manager of Morizuya did an amazing job. From parking our car, helping us choose a Yukata, giving advice for dinner options outside the ryokan to taking very professional photos of us in and around the inn in our Yukatas. He really wanted us to have the best time possible and we did. Our room was spacious. The inn had 2 baths (one indoor cave bath and one outdoor stone bath. You can use them privately in the afternoon and evening and they are public in the morning). Around check-in time you can also have a short tea ceremony, held by the manager's mother. My friends and I loved having that experience. Additionally you receive an Onsen pass, which you can use in all 7 bath houses in Kinosaki Onsen. It's valid until check-out day 3.30pm.
