Just a 2-minute walk from Takayama Station, Oyado Koto No Yume offers Japanese-style rooms with a colourful touch. It's really hard to express how superb this stay was. And it was only 1 day. I imagine this is thanks to type of the place, not being typical hotel, but rather traditional ryokan with it's quality. From the beginning, the staff was excellent. Helpful, informative, easy to talk to. The room, comparing to our other hotels, was huge. Sleeping on futon was our best sleeping experience during whole stay in Japan. We have booked private bath, and again - everything well prepared, all important things available in the room. We were provided also with yukatas to be used in ryokan, but in addition we could also use more colorful that could be used outside. Hotel is 5 minutes walk from main station and on the way to old town of Takayama. The last but not least - breakfast was the best we had in Japan. We have chosen Japanese one and we could try many elements.

Well beyond expectations on almost every level: kindness, hospitality, food... First of all, the host is really responsive both via the Booking message system and Whatsapp, which is a plus: even before getting to Japan we already chatted to arrange a pick up from the station to the hotel. So, if you are worried about the distance from the city center, forget your worries. Second: the host's kindness and hospitality were even beyond the (already high) japanese standards and he also spent some time with us suggesting things to do and places to visit. Also, every other person working there was super-kind and sweet, we really felt welcomed. Third: the food. The owner is a really skilled cook, offering an outstanding kaiseki-style dinner and breakfast, with both regional and national delicious dishes. One of the things that drove our choice to Nagataki were some previous reviews about the food, and we can confirm it was even beyond our expectations, with special attention to both the taste and the composition. Last, the Nagataki charm. Here each host has its own traditional Japanese house, which is just an amazing way to experience a slice of traditional Japanese life. Also, the hotel has got a small onsen that - being few people in the structure for the night we spent there - was split in two private onsen. So, to sum up, we cannot recommend Nagataki enough: if you are undecided, give it a try and you won't regret it.

It was an amazing experience and everyone working there was just incredible. We would recommend everyone passing through Shirakawago to stay here. It was simply unforgettable.

Yunohirakan se bucură de o locație excelentă în cartierul Hirayu Onsen din Takayama, la 35 km de Gara Takayama, la 38 km de Muzeul Satului Hida Minzoku Mura și la 47 km de Muzeul Japonez Ukiyo-e. The Ryokan was superb. The hot springs were great, the food was excellent and the portions were enormous. The service was wonderful and friendly.

Situated in a tranquil area in Gifu Region, a 52-minute drive away from JR Takayama Station, Mozumo boasts a hot-spring bath and rooms decorated with modern Japanese interior. One of the best places I've ever stayed. Look forward to coming back some day and making it longer than just 1 night.

Located a 5-minute drive from Gero Station, Kawakamiya Kasuitei offers traditional Japanese-style guestrooms featuring tatami (woven straw) flooring and hot spring baths in the Gero Onsen area. Great traditional-style Ryokan. Walking distance from the town and there is on site parking. Large, clean rooms. Ample meals. Both an indoor and outdoor public bath. Right next to a flowing river. Very pleasant staff.

Founded in 1860, Juhachiro is located along Nagara River and boasts indoor and outdoor natural hot spring baths. The property is a 15-minute bus ride from Gifu Train Station. I mean... five stars !? 😂😂😂😊😊😊
