Great lodge, very clean, spacious and well equipped. Owners Pierre and Manou along with the rest of their staff are very friendly and always read to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Breakfasts and dinners are very good and offered in a beautiful restaurant with an amazing view over the property and island. All attractions are within short boat ride from the lodge.

With garden views, Carmen's place is located in Bastimentos and has a restaurant, luggage storage space, bar and garden. The property features sea and lake views. I had a wonderful stay at Carmen's place! She and Marcel are friendly outgoing hosts, and the guesthouse has an amazing location surrounded by the jungle facing the bay. Carmen took very good care of me as a solo traveller, suggesting destinations for day-trips and activities to me and catering to small personal needs as an extra-ration of sand fly-repellent or my daily early morning tea :-) Apart of excursions to Zapatillas and Red Frog Beach, I roamed around by kayak and SUP and Carmen also organised to go out as a group for dinner and to watch some live music, which was a lot of fun! Last but not least, she prepares great dinners with different dishes and provides a generous breakfast with local fruit, pancakes, bread, jam, and your choice of eggs. Would love to come back in the future !

Our stay at the Lodge was fantastic. From the food to the hosts, the staff, the rooms, the setting - everything was exceptionally good!

We stayed at Eclypse de Mar in one of their hotel rooms for five nights, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The setting is breathtaking—nestled in nature, surrounded by clear waters and lush greenery. The overwater bungalows and the eco-friendly design make the property truly unique. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. We especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, which allowed us to completely disconnect and relax. The room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we needed. It felt cozy and in harmony with the natural environment around us. The location is perfect for exploring the surrounding areas, whether you’re into snorkeling, hiking, or just soaking in the beauty of Bocas del Toro. We highly recommend Eclypse de Mar to anyone looking for a unique and tranquil getaway. We would definitely stay here again!

Featuring a private beach area, water sports facilities, and a garden, Akwaba Lodge provides accommodation in The Gap with free WiFi and sea views. Akwaba lodge is located at the middle of Isla Solarte about a 10 minute boat ride ($10/person) from Bocas del Toro. It is on a hill overlooking the water and Isla Bastimentos Breakfast is included in your stay. Lunch dinner and beverages are available at a very reasonable price. The lodge is an eco style lodge surrounded by jungle. Though there are no hiking trails through the jungle you are serenaded by the sounds of birds. Kayaks, SUP and snorkeling equipment is available for your use. Your host and their children are wonderful and will do anything to make your stay a pleasant and wonderful experience. Things to know, the lodge is off the grid with good WiFi and does not have AC, but we were comfortable with our open windows and ceiling fan. The lodge accepts credit cards, but tours and water taxis are cash only so bring US dollars. Side trips to Red Frog Beach and Green Acres Chocolate are a must. Pack insect repellent and anti-itch cream.
