Well set in the center of Tokyo, MUJI HOTEL GINZA provides air-conditioned rooms, a restaurant and free WiFi. This 4-star hotel offers luggage storage space. Guests can have a drink at the snack bar. We booked only a week ahead of our stay in Japan, and was only able to secure a standard double room at the Muji Hotel Ginza as the other rooms were fully booked. The room was relatively small as expected, but modern and well appointed. It was very comfortable for two for a 2N stay. The location was ideal for our short stay, within walking distance to Tsukiji and shops in Ginza. It was only a 7-10min taxi ride (C$8-10) from Tokyo Station in non-peak hours. The room had automatic blinds as well as lighting and temperature controls. It was also well soundproofed to allow restful sleep. No street or hallway noise whatsoever. The shower was nearly full western size, complemented by Muji products which was better quality than expected. The room came with complimentary tea in the lounge from 4-7pm, which we took advantage of after a day of walking. The one thing that stood out was the service. Despite how busy the front desk was, they provided great suggestions for dinner and made reservations for us. And the night prior to our departure, the desk manager prepared our luggage service waybill and personally contacted the hotel to which we were sending it to, to ensure a smooth check out the next morning and our luggage would be accepted without delay. My apologies for not having noted the names of the manager and receptionists, but I am so grateful for your help and for going above and beyond. It was a pleasant stay and I would definitely come back again.

We booked the large family room for our family of five: two parents and children aged 9, 7, and 3. The room was spacious and had a very pleasant dining/kitchen area, where we started our days with a meal together, and where we sat down in the evenings before going to bed. The bathroom was very clean and the kids loved taking baths in the Japanese-style bathtub. If you travel with children you'll know that kids can't eat out 3 times a day, and they need some time to decompress in private, away from the hustle and bustle of tourist activities. The spacious room really helped us in this regard. MIMARU is a great place to stay when visiting Tokyo -- the Kinshicho JR station is a 2-minute walk from the hotel, and there are many restaurants and shops in the vicinity (including a 24/7 SEIYU supermarket). The staff were super helpful and very accommodating.

Dit was mijn eerste keer in het werelddeel Azie en het heeft niet echt mijn hart gestolen. Japanners zijn super vriendelijk/behulpzaam, daar lag het zeker niet aan. De stad zelf vond ik sfeerloos en veel hoogbouw/kantoor. Ik ben onder andere naar Ueno Zoo geweest, kleine dierentuin en veel te weinig ruimte voor de dieren. Vond ik echt erg zielig. De metro is goed te doen, ik raad wel een Pasmo-kaart aan, zet daar wat tegoed op (ik heb voor 4 dagen Y5000,- erop gezet en kwam daar goed mee uit. Onder andere voor de rit vanuit de stad, naar het vliegveld. Een echte aanrader zijn de 2e Disneyparken, maar houdt wel rekening met lange wachtrijen voor de attracties. In Disney Sea waren doordeweeks de wachtrijen van 180 minuten geen uitzondering.

Kamogawa is a quaint town with very tasty restaurants, beautiful beaches and lots of natural scenery. It is also home to one of the best sea parks in the Kanto region with dolphin, orca and seal shows occuring several times a day.
