We booked only a week ahead of our stay in Japan, and was only able to secure a standard double room at the Muji Hotel Ginza as the other rooms were fully booked. The room was relatively small as expected, but modern and well appointed. It was very comfortable for two for a 2N stay. The location was ideal for our short stay, within walking distance to Tsukiji and shops in Ginza. It was only a 7-10min taxi ride (C$8-10) from Tokyo Station in non-peak hours. The room had automatic blinds as well as lighting and temperature controls. It was also well soundproofed to allow restful sleep. No street or hallway noise whatsoever. The shower was nearly full western size, complemented by Muji products which was better quality than expected. The room came with complimentary tea in the lounge from 4-7pm, which we took advantage of after a day of walking. The one thing that stood out was the service. Despite how busy the front desk was, they provided great suggestions for dinner and made reservations for us. And the night prior to our departure, the desk manager prepared our luggage service waybill and personally contacted the hotel to which we were sending it to, to ensure a smooth check out the next morning and our luggage would be accepted without delay. My apologies for not having noted the names of the manager and receptionists, but I am so grateful for your help and for going above and beyond. It was a pleasant stay and I would definitely come back again.

The bathroom was very clean and the kids loved taking baths in the Japanese-style bathtub. If you travel with children you'll know that kids can't eat out 3 times a day, and they need some time to decompress in private, away from the hustle and bustle of tourist activities. The spacious room really helped us in this regard. MIMARU is a great place to stay when visiting Tokyo -- the Kinshicho JR station is a 2-minute walk from the hotel, and there are many restaurants and shops in the vicinity (including a 24/7 SEIYU supermarket). The staff were super helpful and very accommodating.

Omdat ik voor andere doeleinden naar Tokio ben gereisd heb ik niet alle bezienswaardigheden kunnen zien. Wat ik mooi vond de Meiji-Jingu-shrine met het mooie sereen park. Evenals de tempel in de buurt van Asakusa wijk. Daarnaast het keizerlijk paleis met zijn mooie park! Wat het eten betreft: diverse leuke restaurants waar je lekker kunt eten. In de buurt van het grote postkantoor en van het keizerlijk paleis, kun je de allerlekkerste sushi's eten! Je moet wel reserveren anders moet je heel lang op je beurt wachten! De stad is schoon, geen vuile uitlaatgassen! de treinen en de metro's zijn schoon. Was het maar ook zo in onze treinen en bussen. Er ligt geen hondenpoep op straat, nergens! Kortom leuk om een week of 10 dagen te verblijven. Wel heeft Tokio net als andere wereldsteden zoals New York, immens hoge gebouwen, dat vind ik jammer!
Nikko is een leuk stadje, voor drie nachten was t aangenaam. Genoeg te zien en relax. Supermarkt, postkantoor winkeltjes, diverse restaurants. Goed te bereiken.
Tokyo
Het was wel een schattig appartementje. De host is volgens mij aanwezig in het kantoor op dezelfde verdieping. Ze maakte andere kamers schoon of maakte ze klaar voor nieuwe gasten. Maar ik kon altijd afval bij haar weggooien wat handig is in zo'n klein appartementtje. In de buurt zijn parken waar je doorheen kunt lopen wat ik niet perse verwacht had ineen grote stad als Tokyo. En de Skytree zag je bij elk kruispunt door de flatgebouwen door, erg mooi.
The window view is absolutely stunning (we were in 23 floor). Clean and simple. Hotel is really huge so the system needs more logistics than your regular hotel.

Great staffs, very attentive and helpful, their English is pretty good, too. We stayed in the Annex Wing, which is the renovated one. The building looks old but the room is very well-equipped with modern facilities. The room is also very clean and spacious. The window offered us a peaceful view over the front yard of the hotel with mountains in the back and autumn foliage. Our booking includes breakfast and dinner. Both are delicious with fresh ingredients. The menu is a bit limited though, in terms of variety of food, and we need to pay extra for some dishes. Still, we were happy with the size of the portions and quality of food. Last but not least, PERFECT location: just next to Shinkyo Bridge and a few steps away from the main Shrines. We could visit all of the main attractions on foot. There are also bus stops in front of the hotel, from which we can go to Chuzenji Lake as well as Nikko station. Overall, we enjoyed our stay a lot and felt very welcomed at Nikko Kanaya Hotel.

The room was tiny, to the point that it would be hard to have one adult standing and another seating at the desk, but it had everything one needs, including a fully functional (and also tiny) bathroom, toiletries, robe for going to the onsen, air purifier, alarm clock, a desk, a mini-fridge, a kettle, and equipment to prepare tea and coffee.
staff friendly and polite, I made the hotel reservation on the booking website, after completing the reservation I realized that the room was for smokers, I asked for a room change, they promptly moved me to a non-smoking room, The meal had a huge variety of food, the breakfast was also fantastic, I definitely want to stay there again

I would highly recommend staying at Manza Prince Hotel! The rooms and the onsen were just excellent with a wonderful view of the mountains and the stars at night! I would definitely go back if I get the chance to visit Japan again.

By far my favorite of the APAs we stayed in! I only regret not staying more than one night! Very spacious, double room is great for trying to accommodate 2 people and 2 luggages and the onsen is always a treat, especially recommending the outdoor one! Staff are amazing as per every APA we have been to. Right next to the metro station exit as well as like 3 minutes walk away from the Sugamo JR exit.
