The staff over all went above and beyond, were very friendly and helpful with things related to the bus schedule, advice for places to eat and just general information about the island. Frank in particular was an absolute rock star! I have never met someone with as much gusto for customer service, and follow through. He literally made sure I got where I needed to go and then some. This experience from the people at this hotel as a whole has made me already plan a return trip.

Port Charlotte Hotel is located in Port Charlotte on the shore of Loch Indaal. The conservatory and gardens open onto a sandy beach. Great views of the bay from our room. Friendly and helpful staff.

Located in Port Ellen, No. 1 Charlotte Street has a garden, shared lounge, bar, and free WiFi. The rooms in the hotel are fitted with a coffee machine. Everything.. the hotel, the service, the breakfast, the room, the price. We loved all, everything was gorgeous.

Featuring a bar and free WiFi, Lochindaal Hotel is set in Port Charlotte. The hotel features family rooms. The units in the hotel are equipped with a kettle and an iPod docking station. Everything was superb and an excellent value. The room has all the facilities of a top-notch bed and breakfast, staff (the MacLellans, all wonderful) was super attentive and a joy to talk to. The heated floor in the bathroom felt like a game-changer. This property is one of a few where we'd be compelled to return to the location just to stay here. Truly rates as a 15 (at least) on a 10-scale.

This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. excellent hotel with very helpful and friendly staff! very high quality on everything from bed linen to toiletries to dining! magnificent location , delicious food and cozy atmosphere… absolute must to visit!

Lochside Hotel is situated in Bowmore and features a terrace. Featuring luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. Free WiFi is available. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent! loved the location it was close to shops and restaurants. The staff were excellent.

Offering sea views, Eilidh’s Guest House is an accommodation set in Port Ellen, 100 metres from White Hart Beach and 2 km from Kilnaughton Beach. Very good place to stay, Niall is super friendly.

Kilmeny features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Ballygrant. Our stay at Kilmeny was a great experience I will never forget! Margaret is the heart of this house, and she is an amazing host. Friendly, cheerful and always here to help, we were impressed by the care she put in every elements of our stay. On arrival, we were greeted with a delicious tea time (exquisite homemade cakes). Our room was spacious and delightfully decorated, the view was amazing and we enjoyed (a lot) the bathroom. A thorough guide/handbook was here to help us out as well: from how things worked in the room, to options for breakfast and all activities available on Islay. Margaret took the time to introduce us to other guests, and had lovely chats with everyone. We also met Blair on occasion at breakfast, and he was really helpful too. I cannot stress enough that Blair and Margaret are two fabulous hosts, and would absolutely recommend to stay at Kilmeny. Thank you for an incredible stay.

Situated in Port Ellen, near White Hart Beach and Kilnaughton Beach, the historic The Trout Fly Guest House has a shared lounge. All units in the bed and breakfast are fitted with a flat-screen TV. The breakfast was a great well cooked Scottish breakfast or a superb macedonia with waffles, All Excellent, Our hosts were exceptionally nice people and we had a lovely time listening to our host playing the accordion while his delightful daughter Iona, danced some Scottish dances beautifully for us.
