They probably gave us an upgrade. The room was super neat and super clean. The owner and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The location is close to Interlaken West train station, platform 1, section A, yet it is quiet—just around 3 minutes' walk. Breakfast has enough variety. This hotel is awarded as one of the best two stars hotel in Interlaken

The location is a short drive away from Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen. (15-20 minutes) There is also a local bus, but we didn' t use it. I wasn' t used to drive on a narrow mountain road, but it was really ok, better than I imagined before I arrived there. Even in the tunnel it is ok if you don' t speed and pay attention. It is true that you have to be more careful at driving, but you get used to that. 3. The hotel has really wonderful views to the mountains, glaciers and the valley not only from the rooms' balconies, but also from the restaurant terrace. 4. There is a cable car every 15 minutes from 7 am to 6 pm in Isenfluh that takes you to Sulwald and then you can hike to Lobhorn Hütte through a nice forrest and then up, at the hut, you can see the majestic mountains: Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. 5. The room was big, with a little terrace. The 3 rooms on the first floor have a common terrace, but everyone was respectful not to enter in someone else' s space on the terrace. Every room has a sitting area outside and superb views. We had everything we needed in the room: there was also a tv, although on booking it was said we won' t have one, so it was a nice little surprise, the internet was great, we had comfortable beds and pillows (this was very important for us), plus we didn't suffer from our allergies, also very important. Maybe this was because every day it was cleaned thoroughly in our room. 6. Very, very clean everywhere. 7. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and a good value for money. We had breakfast included, which consisted of amazing bread, cheese, ham, salami, fruit, yoghurt or müsli with milk, orange juice, tea, coffee, butter, jam, honey. It was more than we needed. In the evening we always ate at the restaurant and the food was great. 8.
