The location is close to Interlaken West train station, platform 1, section A, yet it is quiet—just around 3 minutes' walk. Breakfast has enough variety. This hotel is awarded as one of the best two stars hotel in Interlaken

Situated in Isenfluh, within 16 km of Grindelwald Terminal and 32 km of Giessbachfälle, Hotel Restaurant Waldrand, Isenfluh features accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi throughout the property... 1.If you look for peace and quiet, far from the maddening crowds of tourists in the valley, then you've found your place. 2. The location is a short drive away from Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen. (15-20 minutes) There is also a local bus, but we didn' t use it. I wasn' t used to drive on a narrow mountain road, but it was really ok, better than I imagined before I arrived there. Even in the tunnel it is ok if you don' t speed and pay attention. It is true that you have to be more careful at driving, but you get used to that. 3. The hotel has really wonderful views to the mountains, glaciers and the valley not only from the rooms' balconies, but also from the restaurant terrace. 4. There is a cable car every 15 minutes from 7 am to 6 pm in Isenfluh that takes you to Sulwald and then you can hike to Lobhorn Hütte through a nice forrest and then up, at the hut, you can see the majestic mountains: Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. 5. The room was big, with a little terrace. The 3 rooms on the first floor have a common terrace, but everyone was respectful not to enter in someone else' s space on the terrace. Every room has a sitting area outside and superb views. We had everything we needed in the room: there was also a tv, although on booking it was said we won' t have one, so it was a nice little surprise, the internet was great, we had comfortable beds and pillows (this was very important for us), plus we didn't suffer from our allergies, also very important. Maybe this was because every day it was cleaned thoroughly in our room. 6. Very, very clean everywhere. 7. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and a good value for money. We had breakfast included, which consisted of amazing bread, cheese, ham, salami, fruit, yoghurt or müsli with milk, orange juice, tea, coffee, butter, jam, honey. It was more than we needed. In the evening we always ate at the restaurant and the food was great. 8.

Sijainti on aivan erinomainen, mikäli on menossa Jungfraulle/Aletschin jäätikölle: sekä köysiratakuljetus että juna lähtevät aivan hostellin vierestä. Henkilökunta oli ystävällinen ja avulias, parkkipaikka autolle oli asiallinen ja aamiaisella oli jonkin verran valinnanvaraakin. The location is suberb for a person going to Jungfrau/Aletsch glazier: both the cable car and the train depart very close to the hostel. The staff was friendly and helpful, the parking space was proper and there were options at breakfast.

It was perfect (10+). Location of hotel is excellent - little bit out of the main crowded area - surroundings of train station (1km from it and it is really crowded there even now - off season). Hotel provides car to and from train station if needed. Hotel staff was wonderfull, especially at restaurant. For breakfast - it is rich with a big variety of choices. Also we recommend restaurants 5 dish course (we ate there 2 evenings in row even so, that we rarely are going to restaurants) - everything was delicious (even for vegeterian one of us). Wi-fi is also good. When (not if) we will come again - we will stay here.

Very nice place to stay - from service level to food and cleaning. it is situated in the quite place with a pleasant view which you can enjoy on the terrace or during the breakfast.
Location of Alpinhotel Bort was unrivalled. It's located halfway up to First Grindelwald, but still accessible by car so you're not beholden to the chair lifts. After 6pm you have the mountain to yourself. The restaurant was great value and had an excellent selection of the dishes you would expect from a Swiss mountain hut at a reasonable price. The staff were very attentive and addressed any queries and concerns we had. My parents prefer to have hot water to make tea at the ready and the staff (Birgit) was kind enough to bring a kettle for us to use. The views from the room were unbeatable, I'm looking forward to staying here again in the winter for a ski in/out experience. Honestly, looking everywhere else in Grindelwald, I think Alpinhotel Bort was an excellent mix of value, views, uniqueness, and comfort. I would strongly recommend it.
Great staff, fabulous views, bus stop to Interlaken close by. You can swim in the lake just across the road.
Great breakfast, quiet rooms, plenty of space on the apartment.
