Very good location of the hotel, with easy access all over the city. The room was spacious and very clean. Loved the fact that there was a special make-up mirror in the bathroom! :) The star of my staying was the breakfast! it was the best breakfast i had during my vacation in Borneo! The visit to kinabatangan river and the last resort boutique hotel was a highlight of my trip to Borneo....very special
We were treated so well here from the moment the hotel's driver met us at the airport to the time we checked out. We were upgraded at check-in and gifted a tropical fruit plate as a welcome gift. The dinner buffet was exceptional in choice and quality. We only stayed one night, but what a wonderful introduction to Indonesian Borneo - we felt like minor rock stars.
Beautiful rooms nestled into a lush jungle setting. Comfortable beds and big rooms. All facilities are clean and well maintained. I really enjoyed laying on the porch hammock listening to the sounds of the jungle and looking for animals. We were lucking enough to spot 4 orangutans at the resort. This was the best hotel we stayed during our 2 weeks in Borneo.
Beautiful apartment, with all the necessary for a very comfortable stay. 1 big bedroom with a private bathroom and 1 additional bed in the living room, with an other bathroom. The kitchen is very well equipped. Host very gentle, we allowed us to leave our baggages in the apartment for an extra day, during our trip to Borneo. Super recommended.
Simple, no frills, comfortable hotel. Bonus lovely view of the sea. Nice enough breakfast. We stayed here for one night after arriving in Borneo, before heading off for a 3 day jungle stay, and it did the job well. We were able to leave our bags in the hotel storage while we were away which was super convenient.
I'm glad with my choice to stay at the klagan regency 1borneo this time. This is my first stay at this hotel with my family and we so glad bout it. The swimming pool was good but need regularly clean it for good any visitor. AND MY ROOM TV HAS 1 TV THAT BROKEN, PLEASE FIX IT.
Kuching
It's very central, an easy walk to the waterfront, Carpenter Road and Borneo Culture Museum. As a female solo traveler I could connect to many nice people and the hostel staff is providing information about the main activities in Kuching, how to take public transport etc.
Mulu
The main difference compared to Hotels is the homestay itself. We had nice talks with homestay family and guests. So, we learned a lot about native people, Mulu, Borneo history, Malaysia. It is in the midst of rainforest, therefore nature is everywhere. Impressive!
The location was good. We visited the Tip of the Borneo park. A pity about the sad Malaysian flag at the globe. It was very frayed and damaged (?by the wind and sun??). Our ocean view from our rooms was spectacular. It was close to the seafood restaurant and town.
Kuching
The location is within walking distance from the Borneo Cultural Museum and Sarawak River. Many eating places are nearby including shopping malls. The place has unique vintage vibes and the counter staff are ever helpful. Overall we had a fun and enjoyable stay.
The Borneo hotel is a veteran in Kuching, now several decades in the business and nicely renovated during the pandemic. It's a competent mid-range option with a good central location - the waterfront and various sights are less than 15 minutes’ walk away.
This hotel very near to "Survey Shopping Complex". During my journey "Borneo Unity Ride", my phone charger cable disappeared. So it is easy for me to get the new one from that phone boutique at the shopping complex.
The pool is amazing! There is a poolbar that serves nice drinks. The atmosphere in the hotel is really great. Eventhough the hotel might look a little outdated, it suits Borneo, and we had a lovely stay on the 3rd floor.
Sandakan
I've been in different towns and villages in Malaysia and Borneo. This is the one I felt at home. Congratulations to the staff because they really welcome you and make you feel comfortable like nobody else. Thank you
(1) Pullman Miri’s location is good. it is closed to Miri Times Square, Borneo Heritage Market, etc. (2) It has good restaurants in the proximity. (3) The hotel rooms are spacious.
Sandakan
The best hostel in Bornéo! The managers are all very welcoming and nice. The hostel has nice common areas to chill and discuss. And it is situated in the best spot of the city.
The view is fine, you look out over Tun Sakaran. The bed was quite comfortable (compared to what you get in the rest of Borneo). Staff was adequately friendly and helpful.
Stayed for one night before trip into Borneo jungle. Did everything we needed it to, decent rooms, air con, Indonesian breakfast provided, restaurant on site.
