love ths hotel in general. the service, cleanliness, food are still consistent hence i always come back here. the location is strategic too, u can just walk 5mins across the street, and u will have 24 hour restaurant (Selera Rasa Segar) n others.

Miri offers a quick getaway from Brunei. Transportation via ride-sharing remains extremely affordable, like the rest of Malaysia.
People here are nice but I would highly recommend learning more about their different cultures and respecting various practices.
In terms of available products & services, Miri might not match KL, JB or even KK, but the potential for growth is plenty and the rate of progression is impressive.

Taman Negara Bukit Lambir is beautiful. However, the transportation there is a bit difficult—the best way to get around there is to borrow a scooter.
The beaches in Miri are not good; they are dirty, have a lot of trash, and are not suitable for swimming. Over all there is not much to see in the city and just short stop on the way around Borneo is enough.

We used Miri as a jump off point for a day visit to The Kingdom of Brunei (which I was not impressed), but before and after we walked the Miri waterfront and went into the local area around the hotel. We felt safe everywhere and even purchase items at several 7/11’s. We even spent several hours in an open air 24hr coin laundromat washing and drying our clothes with nothing but smiles from locals. Afterwards we met 3 more of our party at the Ming Bar and Restaurant for satay and pandam chicken rolls. Access to and from the airport is extremely efficient from this hotel in Miri.

I had an amazing stay at Mercure Hotel Miri! 🌟 The uniqueness of the place, friendly staff, and the delightful surprise of free gelato made it truly memorable. The panoramic views added to the charm. However, the only unexpected hiccup was the swimming pool depth (1.2m), a bit deep for my son. Despite that, the overall experience was fantastic. Can't wait to return! 👪
First of all, the breakfast was the most satisfied, as there is a lot of variety food to choose from. the staffs are friendly, good listener and also caring, we're staying 2 night at the hotel but at first night stay, we had problem with the airconditioner then they directly ask us to transfer to other room. the location is also superb as its near to shopping mall.
Attentive & hard-working staff at check-in; all staff throughout the hotel were very polite. Breakfast had an amazing array of options - both western and Asian. The rooms had the best view in and of Miri; amazing view from the swimming pool also; the rooms were clean, modern and in excellent condition. Air-conditioning was great.
Almost everything, this is one of my fav hotels in Miri. Worth my money and time, security guards are kind too. It was so clean, they also provided us basic necessities like brooms, mop and brushes. We really are happy to stay there again on our next vacation 😍
