No matter how beautiful the location looks in pictures, its a hundred times better in person. Some of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. 10/10 would recommend.

Located less than 1 km from Playa de Mendihuaca, La Casita del Bosque provides accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a shared kitchen for your convenience. Free WiFi is provided. The owner is exceptionally nice and helped with figuring out many things regarding the stay in the area. The hut was beautiful and peaceful, a highlight of my Colombia trip. Be aware of the fact that it is in a forest, so you will get to see insects and potentially even small animals. If you have a problem with that, then it might not be the most suitable place - but I actually loved being in a quiet place in the middle of nature.

The staff and owner are making you feel welcome and at home directly. They put so much love in this project and in hosting you and you can feel and see it in all the details. The vegan food is the best food we've had so far on our trip in Colombia. The views are breathtaking. The location is in the middle of the jungle with a natural swimming pool with the river. The cacao and fruit tour is super interesting (highly recommend!). I can just recommend to stay here, we really loved it. Thanks again for everything. Highlight of our trip so far!

Stayed here for 3 nights and it was superb! The location and the views are stunning and the ‘nest’ was very bright and cosy with a great big glass window to enjoy the view. We had all food made for us and it was truly delicious made with fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Daniel was incredibly kind and helpful with everything, including last minute requests. Thanks for a fantastic few days!
