Quetzal Dorado Eco-Lodge by Mareygua is located in Los Naranjos, only 1.5 km away from the entrance of Tayrona National Park in El Zaino. The property is an eco-friendly hostel that offers private rustic rooms with balcony and bathroom. Super friendly staff . Great location for park entrance. Great views.

Playa Los Angeles is less than 1 km from the lodge, while Los Naranjos Beach is a 18-minute walk from the property. Simón Bolívar International Airport is 50 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. An amazingly peaceful, tranquil, jungle escape that was exactly what I was looking for. This property is absolutely gorgeous! I liked that it was off the beaten track but still nice and close to the main road to walk to beaches or catch a bus to various sites. Incredible value, lovely breakfast, and only 3 or 4 rooms so it has a nice intimate guesthouse feel. The kitchen was fantastic for cooking and I loved the balcony to watch the sunset and hummingbirds. I stayed in the queen room close to the main dwelling and it was comfortable, but definitely try to reserve one of the standalone king room bungalows, they are absolutely magic! I didn’t want to leave and kept extending my stay. Johanna the host is very friendly too. The actual walk from the main road to the property was more like 12-15mins so really not that far (but yes steep and uneven in parts) and totally worth it for the peace and beauty.

The lodge offers a continental or American breakfast. Great place to spend couple nights and enjoy the experience of staying inside a forest with a view of ocean from the top. Be in good physical shape as you'll be walking on stone paved slight uphill road for about 25 mins. You'll be crossing 4 shallow puddles. I recommend good trail shoes. Flip flops is a big no no. I highly recommend Polo's cacao tour on his property. Get set for a different experience from the rest and one that you'll remember for many years going forward.

The lodge offers a hot tub. Stayed here for 3 nights and it was superb! The location and the views are stunning and the ‘nest’ was very bright and cosy with a great big glass window to enjoy the view. We had all food made for us and it was truly delicious made with fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Daniel was incredibly kind and helpful with everything, including last minute requests. Thanks for a fantastic few days!

À la carte and American breakfast options are available daily at the lodge. What an amazing place. The cabins were spacious and beautiful, beds comfortable, the beach perfect and great to swim in, even for our small kids. The outdoor was really nice as well with lots of palm trees, hammocks, beanbags and lying beds. And the staff was really helpful and friendly.. there are 3 great hikes you can do from the hotel.

Santa Marta Cathedral is 22 km from the lodge, while Simon Bolivar Park is 22 km from the property. Simón Bolívar International Airport is 29 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. My favorite place that we stayed in Columbia. The location is breath taking, safe, and walking distance from Minca village. It took us 20 mins to walk from our favorite restaurant Lazy Cat to the house. The whole area is fenced and you will get a key for the gate. There's a solid bamboo bridge for crossing the river, which was calm and shallow at the time. We enjoyed every walk, especially by night and I recommend to take a head torch with you. It's a great experience to stay in the jungle, separated from mosquitos and other insects but almost outside, because part of the house construction are nets. You can watch the mountains, nature and moon from your bed. In the morning you will be awakened by a gang of chickens and turkeys:D. The rooster is definitely the king of jungle in this area. The place is spotless, spacious, and very well maintained. The hosts are such lovely, responsive, helpful and welcoming folks. We enjoyed the simple but delicious breakfast and fresh fruits. There are many attractions and hikes nearby. Thank you for a wonderful time and memorable experience ♥️

A continental breakfast is available each morning at the lodge. I stayed at Hierbabuena after three days in Tayrona park. It was the perfect place to relax and recover after the trekking days. The cabin is not only beautiful but also very comfortable and clean. Piedad, the owner, really takes care of every guest and prepares delicious meals. The atmosphere is calm and the garden and pool perfect for relaxing. Highly recommend.

Offering a private beach area, Playa Pikua Ecolodge is a solar-powered property situated in Guachaca between two rivers and the Caribbean sea. Santa Marta is 40 km away and Tayrona Natural Park is within a 10 minute drive. Free private parking is available on site. The place is quite quiet, the parties are around but the police is really peaceful, for couples are perfect. They don’t sell food sou you have to go to the restaurants close by. It is perfect. You can go for party to costeño beach that is like 2 minutes walking and come back to the peace of the hotel . The room are bungalows made of wood so it is beautiful. The sea is strong but if you know how to swim there is not problem. I did .
