Offering views of the Sierra, Mundo Nuevo Eco Lodge ( 2.2 km and 400 meters uphill Minca) is set in an organic farm with a vegetarian restaurant (one menu) with mainly dishes with fruits and vegetable... We enjoyed all the meals even though my friends are big meat eaters. I just loved the atmosphere. The staff were helpful and friendly. It was great that we could meet indigenous people. We spent some times with them. It was unique experience. My Colombian friend stayed here 3 years ago. I'm glad that I followed her recommendation and stay there. Very happy!

With macaws flying over head, howler monkeys calling in the morning, capuchin monkeys flying through the trees and a sleeping sloth over the path await you but you have to earn it! A not to be missed highlight is the early morning hike to the Mirador- it's stunning! The trail to get here can be demanding but Sebastian or Jose will help you and it will be worth your effort.

The hard work, skills and dedication that go into bringing that kind of comfort into this quiet remote location cannot be overstated. The rooms are simple but very well constructed and I slept like a baby. Even though the first night we were subjected to quite a strong storm hitting the coast. The hearty and diligent service they provide from the delicious meals to logistical help and anything one might need is beyond words. Truly a pearl in this most beautiful part of the world. Inside Tayrona Park, 33 km from Santa Marta, Ecohotel Yachay Tayrona dentro del Parque Tayrona features a terrace and views of the mountain. Guests can enjoy the gourmet restaurant. It was great. Very clean, helpful staff, all the amenities you would like for your stay. Especially the location. It is located IN the park, about 20 minutes from the entrance. You have to pay the park fee (50,000 COP entrance + 6,000 COP insurance per day you are staying overnight) but then you are in the park and don’t have to worry about paying again, queuing up for tickets, etc.
