Moyogalpa
Facing the beachfront in Moyogalpa, Rancho Tranquillo features a garden and a terrace. Free WiFi and a tour desk are featured. All rooms at the hostel are fitted with a seating area. We absolutely loved staying at Rancho Tranquillo. It is right across the lake so you can enjoy swimming and the sunsets. Daniella & Tony are very welcoming and friendly. We had a very delicious breakfast made by Daniella. Their property is also so great, there are all types of animals running around and you can pick fresh mangoes from their mango tree. They were also kind enough to let us leave some of our luggage so that we could rent a scooter more easily and travel around the island.
Balgue
Situato a Balgue, a 16 km dal vulcano Maderas, l'ostello La Urraca Loca Hostel offre un bar, un giardino e la vista sul giardino. Great location in Balgue and the place is surrounded by nature, and despite this it is very clean. The owners are super kind and you can sense their love for this place. Tasty breakfast (homemade bread) and food available at the hostel (good italian food for lunch and dinner as one of the owners is Italian!). They were happy to provide advice and information on what to do in the area. Communal space upstairs was amazing and relaxing. The chickens running around the garden was giving exactly the vibes you get around Ometepe Island. Loved it here.

Situated in Moyogalpa, 39 km from Maderas Volcano, Hostel Life is Good features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. I loved the atmosphere of the hostel. In the evening time they had candles everywhere and lights. It was so beautiful. They also have a lookout place where you can see the volcano during the day and stars at night time. It was a super quiet and chill place. They also had kitties which is a big bonus.
Balgue

Non ci sono parole per spiegare la bellezza e l atmosfera del posto della gente. Cucina ottima musica tranquillità... Andateci...
Moyogalpa
Situated in Moyogalpa, Cocos Hostel has a garden. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The host! She is amazing!! She helped us with everything, we got sick and she literally took care of us. The location is great and the rooms are big enough with private bathroom, the breakfast was amazing as well.
Las Pilas
Situated in Las Pilas, 17 km from Maderas Volcano, Rainbow Caravan Hostel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. The place was very clean and tidy, tranquil, and no noise at night which is rare in Nicaragua because there's always someone making some noise. The food was quality, homemade vegan goodness. Making a fire was cool and it has all the modern amenities like a fridge and cooking equipment so you can bring beer. Didn't have any bugs unlike some of the other hostels i stayed in on Ometepe. It's quite a good location equidistance between the two towns and near the start of Volcan Concepción. I recommend renting an ATV rather than a scooter at the port and picking it up in Ometepe, don't trust the people on the San Jorge side. The hostel also offers scooter rental although I picked mine up at port. Very photogenic hostel and peaceful.
Altagracia
Set in Altagracia, 16 km from Maderas Volcano, B&B, family run homestay, Hospedaje La Penita offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Learned this was one of the original hostels on Ometepe. Breakfasts and dinners were freshly prepared with local ingredients. Their dogs and cats were very nice to spend time with. The hosts can lease scooters and deliver them for competitive prices. Communication with host prior to and during stay was excellent.

È facile da raggiungere sull'isola, vicino alla spiaggia (20 minuti di camminata) e ad altro ristoranti o bar molto carini L'elettricità è completamente coperta da pannelli solari ed è uno degli ostelli più ecológico nei quali sia stato. Assolutamente consigliato
L’ostello si trova in una posizione ottima per visitare l’isola, é un posto colorato, accogliete e tranquillo con uno staff molto gentile. Camere pulite, letto molto comodo e ventilatore a disposizione. Ottima la colazione compresa nel prezzo della prenotazione. Saremmo stati volentieri una qualche notte in più!
