Sooo comfortable and cosy! Double beds and private sections in the dorm make it feel like you almost have your own room. The kotatsu heated tables are a godsend. The owner is super sweet and makes tasty cheap meals if you don't feel like going out. Location is perfect, next to the station (and bus stop for Snow Monkeys, ski resort) as well as a convenient Lawson. There's water, tea and coffee and a fridge for guests. You get a free ticket to the local onsen! And Koharu the dog will take endless head scratches!

Couch Potato Hostel er staðsett í Matsumoto og Matsumoto-stöðin er í innan við 1 km fjarlægð. Friendliest staff! Very comfortable, tasteful interiors and you can not beat the location! In a great residential area that is so close to everything! We met wonderful fellow guests and staff there too.

Starfall Lodge er staðsett í Hakuba, í innan við 9 km fjarlægð frá Tsugaike Kogen-skíðasvæðinu og í 44 km fjarlægð frá Nagano-stöðinni. Boðið er upp á herbergi með ókeypis WiFi. Family of 4 stayed in Taurus room for 6. Excellent stay! Big thanks to the team! You won’t find a better staff! The lodge owners take care of their staff and the staff took great care of us! Daily breakfast and shuttles to local mountains were the perfect way to start each day! Shuttle: Staff was very accommodating when we wanted rides to restaurants and the walk back was reasonable; 25 minutes was the longest walk and was quite pleasant even in a light snow. Location: there are 10 ski resorts that are all different, so unless you wanted to stay on one and stay there, the location doesn’t really matter. We went to several different and the shuttle system the lodge runs was great! Starfall was also a 10 minute walk one way to the bus terminal and 10 the other to the train. Room was great! Beds were comfortable and plenty of space in our room. Closet had a waist high shelf perfect for a full size suitcase and more. Lots of hangers. Warm heater. Facilities were awesome-we had two daughters (9, 13) with us. They were very comfortable and had a great time with the staff. There are 6 toilets in private set ups. Never had to wait to use the bathroom. The two showers were also great. Warm outer rooms to undress/dress and spacious showers with two shower heads; nice hot water! We never had to wait for a shower either. Dry room: very helpful and had our ski gear nice and toasty in the AM! If anything, the room was a little hot while getting ready, but we just stepped out onto the covered porch to finish dressing for the slopes! Overall-can’t recommend enough!

The team was extremely hospitable. From arranging pick ups from check-in day/check-out day to daily visits to different fields by dropping us to the nearest bus stops. He also checked on us from time to time if everything was okay. As we chose a shared dorm, we were prepared for certain inconvenience, however, we were also fortunate that the people living in the shared dorm were real friendly and considerate, we even went skiing together. There was also a common room where guests were able to chill together. its not surprising why bohemians' shelter has an extremely high rating with repeated guests. the meals prepared by bianca & liam were great too!

Besides offering simply breathtaking views from the terrace, where you can enjoy a cold glass of beer or sake after your Nakasendo walk, this hostel has the most wonderful and authentic atmosphere you can imagine. The traditional architecture with thick wooden beams, the great collection of books and the super relaxed and extremely hospitable staff - all goes into creating the most serene experience. After staying at the Yui-an hostel, your mind will feel at ease, and you will again be ready to tackle the inferno of Tokyo and Kyoto. Don’t ever change - we will some day come back and enjoy the winter landscape too 😀

The staff were incredibly friendly, and I absolutely loved the tea they served. The traditional Japanese house is stunning, and the hot water bottle was such a thoughtful touch. I’ll definitely be back—thank you so much!

Located just a 10-minute walk from Happo One Ski Resort’s gondola, Morino Lodge offers cosy accommodation with spacious guestrooms and a modern lounge. Hotel is very good, their staff so good. Rooms is very good and comfortable.

Guest House Kura býður upp á hagkvæma gistingu í svefnsalsstíl í byggingu sem var áður hefðbundið Kura-vöruhús til að geyma silki. Yuki is so kind and hospitable. She has so much knowledge of where to go and how to get there. I enjoyed meeting other solo travelers in a cozy environment with complimentary tea.

K's House Hakuba Alps er í 9 mínútna göngufjarlægð frá JR Kamishiro-stöðinni og býður upp á sameiginlega setustofu og herbergi með ókeypis WiFi. The lounge was extremely beautiful and filled with a warm atmosphere.

Echo GuestHouse er staðsett í Hakuba, 9,3 km frá Tsugaike Kogen-skíðasvæðinu og býður upp á gistirými með sameiginlegri setustofu, ókeypis einkabílastæði og veitingastað. The people traveling through were friendly and down to chat, Raymond is an absolute legend/mate. Would recommend he's an encyclopedia of knowledge around the hakuba region.
