Location is perfect, next to the station (and bus stop for Snow Monkeys, ski resort) as well as a convenient Lawson. There's water, tea and coffee and a fridge for guests. You get a free ticket to the local onsen! And Koharu the dog will take endless head scratches!

They have a lovely old wooden bath/tub you can hire to bathe and soak in which was so nice after walking from Magome. Also highly recommend trying the sake flight!
