Featuring a shared lounge, Hostel Miyagawa by Murasaki Ryokan is located in the centre of Takayama, less than 1 km from Takayama Station. It’s around good restaurants and nearby tourist spots in Takayama. It’s also very cheap with helpful staff. There’s enough shower and toilet facilities and a spacious common area.

The decoration is so cute!! There is artificial grass and hammocks that make you feel that you are camping outdoors :D. There are also inspiring pictures that the owner took from his travels. 5. We stayed there to visit Kamikochi. Akandana parking is a few minutes away (by car) but there are other tourist facilities nearby :D.

Set in Shirakawa, 150 metres from Shirakawago, GuestHouse Shirakawa-Go INN offers accommodation with a shared lounge and free private parking. Clean and modern facility. Owner was clear and friendly. It is a Guest Inn, aka a Hostel, so expect accordingly. I feel it is a bit unfair that other reviews complain about gaps to a Hotel service, it is not a Hotel. Rooms are private but bathrooms and kitchen are shared. Showers were great and super clean. The kitchen area was well equipped and there were a few items for sale like instant noodles, chips and water. As it is not located in Shirakawa-go (where you go sightseeing as a tourist) the Inn offers a shuttle to Shirakawa-Go bus stop. This was really good! Without big luggage you could also walk there in 25 minutes.

Only a 2-minute walk from JR Takayama Station, K's House Takayama Oasis offers free WiFi throughout the property. The hosts are so nice and really helpful. They are willing to answer all the questions. Very close to the station. All facilities are clean, highly recommended!

JR Takayama Train Station is 1.3 km from the guest house. The hostel is just a １-minute walk from Yuko-no-oka bus stop. The guesthouse is clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Although it's a bit far from the station, it's near Hida Fork village and the host provides a shuttle bus to the station every morning. The room is spacious and clean as well. The view from the room was beautiful. I had a great time there. Thank you very much!
