Situated in Udawalawe, 14 km from Udawalawe National Park, wild park safari home stay features air-conditioned accommodation and a garden. First of all the view from the balcony is amazing! They even had tables and other chairs outside the room to have breakfast. We spent an afternoon here as it was so peaceful. Dinner was insane with so much choice and everything was so delicious! The room itself is comfortable, A/c , a bit of a walk to town so we ended up getting a tuk tuk, it's a 3 minute ride. But it's definitely worth it for the peacefulness and the incredible view! The safari arranged by Ravidu was excellent. During the safari we were served breakfast on a rock. Ravidu's brother took us on the safari. He knows the roads well. Safari at this place is 10/10

Anju is really nice and very helpful. Dinner and breakfast were really good and made with fresh ingredients from the garden! He even went above and beyond to give us a extensive breakfast at 5am. The room was also very nice. Tours can also be done with him! I really recommend to stay here!

Lovely setting in a beautiful homestay environment. It was very peaceful sitting in their beautiful garden, and the orchestra of frogs in the evening was a delight. The rooms were comfortable and spotless. Dimu and his wife were so genuine and lovely, and the curries were delicious. Dimu organised a safari tour with Sumudu as our guide. Sumudu's knowledge and respect for the animals was very much appreciated. We saw many wild elephants, Sambur deer (very rare), deer, wild boar, golden jackals, Buffalo, crocodiles, peacocks, monitor lizards, mongoose and many beautiful birds. One of the highlights of our trip! Thanks for an amazing stay, Dimu!

Located 17 km from Udawalawe National Park, Wild Eagle Safari Resort offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as an indoor pool and a garden. The food was delicious. The offered safari was informative and Santha (host+safari guide) was knowledgeable about all the animals in the park. He also drove closer to them than other drivers. Overall a very nice stay + an insane safari, would come again!

Located in Udawalawe, 10 km from Udawalawe National Park, Forest Edge Safari Villa provides air-conditioned rooms and a garden. This is such a great place. It actually looks better than in the pictures. It has all the amenities you need. We had a great safari and such a great breakfast

Located 12 km from Udawalawe National Park, Mango Tree House provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. A continental breakfast is available daily at the guesthouse. We loved this place. The cottages were so cute and comfortable. I especially loved the indoor/outdoor shower. the cottage was decorated nicely and had some pamphlets highlighting nature, culture, etc of Sri Lanka. Both breakfast and dinner here was amazing as were the owner/hosts. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Featuring garden views, Hasthi Safari Cottage offers accommodation with balcony, around 16 km from Udawalawe National Park. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Dasun, the owner, was super nice and organized a safari for us, brought us to the elephant orphanage, and as well to a river, so that we could refresh ourselves on those super hot days. The place is pretty, the room comfortable and the food was really good.

Located within 5.5 km of Udawalawe National Park in Udawalawe, Kuma Safari Lodge offers accommodation with seating area. Kuma and his wife were so helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble! The room was exceptionally clean , spacious and well equipped with a lovely covered area to relax with a book. Home cooked food was delicious and plentiful. Kuma also organised us a fantastic safari at the close by Udawalawe Park with a great driver/guide who found us lots of different animals, plus he arranged a trip to the Elephant Transit home which coincided with the baby elephants being given their milk. A truly unforgettable stay, and excellent value for money. I would definitely return there.
