The room was very spacious and clean. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, always ready to help us with anything we needed! They even gave us mangoes and coconuts picked from their garden, and both were absolutely delicious! We ended up going on a safari with them, which turned out to be the highlight of our time in Sri Lanka! It was a one-day safari where we saw two leopards, elephants, and many other animals. They also prepared lunch for us, which we enjoyed by the ocean. We had an amazing time. Their little puppy was so cute and lively—we absolutely adored him! We would gladly return in the future.

The owner, Ruin, is a man who knows how to answer your questions honestly and accurately. He knows the area and is motivated to create a friendly comfortable, clean, and safe hotel environment. You also have privacy, good food, and can lounge outside under shady roofs. the rooms are spartan but clean and have internet viable monitors. the price including an excellent breakfast was about 11 EUs. Ruin helped my son get a nice pair of pants because my son had ripped his jeans. He also helped arrange a tuk tuk to take us to an old friend of mine who was living in the region. This is an A+ hotel in spirit and actuality. Each room has its own fairly private area where you can stretch out and read a book under a shady roof.

Even though hotel is located by the Ella-Wellawaya road, the location is very calm. Construction wasn't done in some parts of the facility. But the available rooms were at good standard. Good value to your money.

Nastanitev Forest Tree Top Holiday Resort je od znamenitosti tempelj Kataragama oddaljena 36 km in ponuja restavracijo, vrt, teraso ter bar. Amazing place!!! The host is just the sweetest, and offers an amazing safari to Yala at much cheaper than third party websites, and he grew up spotting animals so you are in good hands (we even saw a leopard!). I cannot recommend this place more, it is quite special!

The guestrooms are separated from the house, so you have all the privacy. The rooms are basic but very beautiful and authentic - I really loved the room, the supercomfy bed and pillow. Srilankan breakfast is prepared on wood and was really good. The lady Karunawathi is very sweet. I was so happy I could use their bicycle (for free). I went all over Kataragama, probably I did more than 50km by footbike! For me it's the best way of discovering a place.

This is one of the most unique hotels I’ve ever stayed in, and you can spend quite a while wandering the property and looking at all the quirky artwork. I would highly recommend staying in for dinner one night as the food was exceptionally delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful too! They organized our safari ride as well as Tuk Tuks into town. The rooms are a bit on the rustic side, but it adds to the fun experience!

Set in Kataragama, Safari Lodge Yala provides a restaurant and garden views, 2.3 km from Kataragama Temple and 16 km from Lunugamvehera National Park. Complimentary WiFi is provided. The location is excellent and very convenient. If you are planning to visit Kataragama and its surrounding places, the location of this hotel is ideal. People can save a lot of their time. The staff is very friendly and supportive. The food is delicious and affordable.Environment of the place is very nice and it gives the jungle vibe for nature enthusiasts. Overall a very nice place.
