Offering a garden and garden view, Thomasha Homestay & Tuk Tuk Service is set in Wellawaya, 34 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge and 6.9 km from Buduruwagala Temple. We all loved our stay with Thomasha and his family, they were all lovely and helpful with anything we needed. Thomashas wife even made us a delicious curry and rice for dinner. The building and rooms were all super colourful and cute. Brilliant location to experience a smaller local village but still able to access lots of nearby attractions

Ubicació al mig de la naturalesa i un lloc molt agradable per desconnectar i passejar al voltant del llac i dels camps. El responsable de l’hotel ens va fer un tour per l’hort i les plantacions de canyella i ens va mostrar el procés de fabricació. El sopar era molt bo, totalment recomanable (tampoc hi ha restaurants a prop).

Offering a garden and lake view, Lake Front Yala Safari is located in Kataragama, 18 km from Tissa Wewa and 18 km from Situlpawwa. Amazing experience at Lake Front Yala Safari. The room was extremely comfortable and very clean but the best thing was the family that run this guesthouse, very kind and welcoming. The lady cooked a spectacular dinner, the best I have had since I'm in Sri Lanka, the daughter is a very smart girl who speaks very good English, she explained to me about the Sri Lankan culture and traditions of Kataragama. Last but not least I could book the safari through them at a very affordable price. I recommend this place 100%

A good location for a hassle-free stay in Tanamalwila, Mayka's luxury holiday homes is a guest house surrounded by views of the garden. Big room and bathroom with space to eat (so we could eat in our room instead of the restaurant upstairs, which was very cute tho...). Best wifi we had during our trip. Great location for Lunugamvehera Safari (we did not book it with them, but it seemed like we could because they also had a safari jeep). The owner speaks dutch and is very nice! We arranged a well priced tuktuk with her, that took us to Dickwella at 7 pm after our safari (about 2.30-3h drive). We enjoyed our stay and definitly recommend when visiting the Lunugamvehera side of Yala national park. Glad there was a restaurant in the hotel, because there did not seem to be much in the area (we didn't mind tho, we were only here for the safari :))

Offering river views, Forest Tree Top Holiday Resort is an accommodation located in Buttala, 36 km from Kataragama Temple and 37 km from Buduruwagala Temple. I travel extensively and the stay with Bathiya’s family at Forest Treetop holiday resort was a highlight of my trips. Bathiya picked us up from the main road and drove us in his jeep to his beautiful treehouse surrounded by farm. We fell in love with the farm immediately . There are all kinds of fruit and vegetables. He took time to explain to us the vegetables and fruit. He also took my son to do gem digging in the river surrounded by monkeys and peacocks. Later he showed us around in his jeep and also took us on a night tour near the farm. His mother cooked an amazing Sri Lankan dinner for us, we felt at home . the next morning he took us on the safari tour in Yala Park. He was amazing at spotting animals and birds . We basically owned the whole park to ourselves because we entered through the Galge entrance and most tourists go to the southern block. This is a place NOT to be missed . And you will feel true Sri Lanka hospitality with Bathiya ! And we miss the dog John

Boasting garden views, Ethili Lake view & Safari Camp offers accommodation with balcony, around 47 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge. Amazing clean home stay located in a peaceful village nearby a lake. Run by some really kind staff who are extremely accommodating! They are able to provide everything you need and cook tasty meals upon request. Also have options to see wild elephants, visit local village, or go on a boat ride. I injured my knee before arriving and they also took me to see a special Ayurvedic doctor. Would absolutely stay again!

Boasting garden views, Kande Gedara Resort (කන්දෙ ගෙදර) features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 45 km from Buduruwagala Temple. Michael was one of the friendliest and kindest host we've had in Sri Lanka so far... and Sri Lanka is full of great people! The location is great if you are into nature and calm places, away from the crowds. He welcomed us with tea and snacks and we went for a short hike around the place. After that, Michael cooked the best rice and curry we've tried in Sri Lanka in about a month of our stay. Plus, you are welcome to learn the recipe! I would definitely come back to meet him back again.

Located in Yala, Yala Avian Eye Safari has water sports facilities and free bikes. With a garden, the property also features a shared lounge, as well as a bar. The place is incredibly well built and you can see the love in every detail! Baghya, the host, took us with his PickUp to find elephants and with the tractor to a swimming spot at a river. The food, the family cooks for the guests, is amazing. Everything is clean and well maintained. Perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boasting garden views, Bindu Homestay provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 35 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge. the location is quiet and Bindu’s wife is an amazing host! She welcomed me with a fresh juice and I had a delicious dinner. the bed is comfortable and the AC works accordingly. also good wifi and a perfect coffee in the morning. Really enjoyed my stay here! Would highly recommend!
