A lovely homestay where the owner arranged my airport pickup at 4 a.m., with her son kindly coming to get me. She provides comfortable rooms and offers breakfast upon request. Though not centrally located, the peaceful neighborhood is perfect for a relaxing stay, and tuk-tuks to the city center are easily available.

Nice big rooms with great hosts and cute puppy dogs. Very clean, quiet, and chilled atmosphere. The welcoming hosts, Sam and Steff, will take care of you extremely well. They cooked for us, we drank some beer together, put an extra bed for my brother in the room and will show you around the city, if you like.

The area was really nice. Home owner was very friendly we felt really good. And we will definetly come back. Everything was perfect luxury room with lovely decoration the bathroom was like in a movie. We couldnt ask for anything else. Comes with snaks as well as tea and coffes. We never been more satisfy with our stance.... thanks a lot!!!!!!

Akhil's warm welcome and his help in finding everything I needed. What's more, it's rare to find accommodation with a fully equipped room: a kitchen and private bathroom. Also the peaceful terrace with a beautiful sunset in the evening is really nice 🙂 I recommend this establishment 100% and I will return without hesitation!

An excellent stay across the board. If you’re new in town, and want a feel of cozy, Lankan hospitality and a feel of home but with your own space and privacy - this is ideal. Vishwa is great with any help you might need with recommendations or basic advise. Friendly staff to help with bags or walking in and out. Clean, safe, and no issues for a young woman alone in town for a few days - I couldn’t recommend a better place or better people.

I had a wonderful stay at this little boutique hotel. It is an oasis of calm in an otherwise bustling city. The rooms and common areas are beautifully decorated with many local touches. The hotel serves delicious home cooked food. I had the Sri Lankan breakfast during my stay and can highly recommend it. Overall, staying at the Highbury Hotel felt like staying in a beautiful and welcoming Sri Lankan home. I will surely be back when I return to Colombo next!
