Set within 44 km of Nagano Station and 45 km of Zenkoji Temple in Hakuba, Hakuba Matata Lodge features accommodation with seating area. Location of the lodge was great, easy walking distance into Echoland and a snow shuttle bus stop not far from the front door. The lodge is well appointed and the family room is very accommodating. Breakfast was great served in the lounge area which was available for use at any time with complimentary tea/coffee. The owner was so helpful with suggestions and tips prior to our arrival and the staff looking after the lodge were so friendly, very helpful and extremely customer focused. I would highly recommend the lodge.

Everything here is perfect. The house is clean,breakfast is delicious. There is small onsen inside hotel and a beautiful public onsen next door. 6 minutes walk to Yu Road, 2 minutes to center of Nozawa village, 1mn from bus station. We are very happy to stay here.

I absolutely LOVED Shioriya. The owners were friendly, kind and beautiful people. They gave me lots of advice on places to see, how to get there, where to eat etc. The room was immaculate and in pristine condition. Really clean and comfortable. I was very well looked after.

If I had to rate this property based on the host Shotaro,I would give it an 11.

Situated within 32 km of Jigokudani Monkey Park and 41 km of Suzaka City Zoo, Shinazawa features rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Nozawa Onsen. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and the amenities were clean. The room was comfortable and the hot bath/onsen in the building was amazing. Will definitely be back next time we visit Nozawa Onsen!

Overall, the facility is very comfortable and clean. The dormitory room has a locker for storage of personal belongings. The bed is comfortable and cozy, and bed sheets and pillow sheets to overlay on top of the futon are provided. We had a very good sleep. The common area is also well decorated and comfortable. There is a free water station, interesting books, board games, and card games. We had fun reading the horoscope book and playing Uno cards in the common area while drinking some locally sourced water, which is very tasty! This place also operates a bar at night. Although we didn't get a drink, we had gelato, which was very yummy! They also have a sauna room and provide rental towels for 200 yen. The shower gel, shampoo, and hair conditioner provided in the shower room are surprisingly good quality, making the shower enjoyable. They also sell their own goods, such as stickers, sauna hats, and mesh net bags. The selections are interesting and cute. The location is good—about a 12-minute walk from Matsumoto Station. The Matsumoto Castle is right next to it (about a 5-minute walk). We love this place and would definitely come again!
