Location of the lodge was great, easy walking distance into Echoland and a snow shuttle bus stop not far from the front door. The lodge is well appointed and the family room is very accommodating. Breakfast was great served in the lounge area which was available for use at any time with complimentary tea/coffee. The owner was so helpful with suggestions and tips prior to our arrival and the staff looking after the lodge were so friendly, very helpful and extremely customer focused. I would highly recommend the lodge.

The house is clean,breakfast is delicious. There is small onsen inside hotel and a beautiful public onsen next door. 6 minutes walk to Yu Road, 2 minutes to center of Nozawa village, 1mn from bus station. We are very happy to stay here.

Shioriya offers accommodation in Nagano, 11 km from Zenkoji Temple. Popular points of interest around the property include Togakushi Shrine and Old Kawanakajima Battlefield. Stay here it will really enhance your Japanese travel experience. The most perfect four room hotel in a newly built beautiful Japanese home. The hosts are warm and welcoming. It’s like staying with a favourite friend or relative. It reminded me of staying with my grandmother when I was a little girl, they were so attentive and helpful. The rooms are warm and comfortable and impeccably clean. The breakfasts were the best food I had in Japan. Fresh local fruits and delicious home made soups. Off street parking and local bus and train transportation. Lots of helpful advice on attractions in and around the Nagano area and how to get there. (We loved the ‘snow monkeys’!) There are large grocery stores just around the corner and a lovely kitchen to use to prepare meals as well as local restaurants. Watch the kids walk and bike to school along the quiet street in front of the house and then catch an easy bus to Nagano Station to explore further afield.

The location was great, the accommodation is within walking distance to the Matsumoto Station. The dorm itself was spacious and clean. If I had to rate this property based on the host Shotaro,I would give it an 11.

The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and the amenities were clean. The room was comfortable and the hot bath/onsen in the building was amazing. Will definitely be back next time we visit Nozawa Onsen!

Tabi-shiro is located in Matsumoto, 2.7 km from The Japan Ukiyo-e Museum. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. The rooms have a shared bathroom. Tabi-shiro features free WiFi . Overall, the facility is very comfortable and clean. The dormitory room has a locker for storage of personal belongings. The bed is comfortable and cozy, and bed sheets and pillow sheets to overlay on top of the futon are provided. We had a very good sleep. The common area is also well decorated and comfortable. There is a free water station, interesting books, board games, and card games. We had fun reading the horoscope book and playing Uno cards in the common area while drinking some locally sourced water, which is very tasty! This place also operates a bar at night. Although we didn't get a drink, we had gelato, which was very yummy! They also have a sauna room and provide rental towels for 200 yen. The shower gel, shampoo, and hair conditioner provided in the shower room are surprisingly good quality, making the shower enjoyable. They also sell their own goods, such as stickers, sauna hats, and mesh net bags. The selections are interesting and cute. The location is good—about a 12-minute walk from Matsumoto Station. The Matsumoto Castle is right next to it (about a 5-minute walk). We love this place and would definitely come again!
