Lovely area, very quiet, and only around a 20-minute walk to Kyoto Station or Nishiki Market (it's right in the middle). Amenities are provided and you can help yourself to tea, coffee, laundry detergent, etc. at the front desk. The room was super clean and spacious. Comfortable bed. I booked one of the bottom floor rooms which had a fantastic bathroom. The bath was hinoki wood and quite big - highlight of the room for sure (not all rooms have this though)! Very traditional feel and a great "authentic" bathing experience if you're too shy to go to an onsen! Kevin is such an amazing host. He's very kind - he reached out to me over WhatsApp shortly before our stay to give me all the check-in details and some seasonal sightseeing recommendations! He also dropped us off at the train station at the end of our stay. This place is an absolute gem, especially considering the service and how reasonably priced it is. The only downside was that I stayed here for just one night. If I'm ever in Kyoto again, I'll definitely return to Hatsune Guesthouse :D Thank you so much Kevin!

The property is non-smoking and is situated 1.3 km from Samurai Kembu Kyoto. The photos don’t really do this place justice. It’s such a little gem, and the host is just so incredibly nice and helpful. Would 100% recommend to anyone staying for a few nights.

This 2-star guest house offers a 24-hour front desk and full-day security. The accommodation provides a hot tub, free WiFi throughout the property and family rooms. The location was excellent and room cosy, but the best part about our stay were Kayoko and the breakfasts. Every day when we returned to our room there was some lovely tea waiting for us. The breakfasts were lovely as well! Super friendly and helpful host :)

Such a lovely place to base yourself out of in Kyoto. Clearly a lot of time and effort has been put in to ensure a lovely visit for their guests. We appreciated all of the small touches from start to finish. Couldn’t rate the place highly enough

The hostess Emiko is really attentive and friendly, and gives great recommendations. The breakfast is delicious.

They communicated the check in details very carefully that even when we arrived very late, we didn't have any issue getting into to our room. The place was also very clean.

The house is a contemporary renovated town house, it is actually more spacious than the pictures shown and the lighter is much softer and warmth, there is a small backyard with a tiny pond in the middle, the 2nd floor have some interested hollow floor design with a foot bridge connecting the bedroom so you can see the first floor from the 2nd floor, the art collection such as some wall painting and slide door as well as the teapot collection is quite classy as well
