Offering city views, 初音(はつね) is an accommodation located in Kyoto, 1.2 km from TKP Garden City Kyoto and 1.4 km from Gion Shijo Station. This 4-star homestay offers a lift and luggage storage space. The location is great. Lovely area, very quiet, and only around a 20-minute walk to Kyoto Station or Nishiki Market (it's right in the middle). Amenities are provided and you can help yourself to tea, coffee, laundry detergent, etc. at the front desk. The room was super clean and spacious. Comfortable bed. I booked one of the bottom floor rooms which had a fantastic bathroom. The bath was hinoki wood and quite big - highlight of the room for sure (not all rooms have this though)! Very traditional feel and a great "authentic" bathing experience if you're too shy to go to an onsen! Kevin is such an amazing host. He's very kind - he reached out to me over WhatsApp shortly before our stay to give me all the check-in details and some seasonal sightseeing recommendations! He also dropped us off at the train station at the end of our stay. This place is an absolute gem, especially considering the service and how reasonably priced it is. The only downside was that I stayed here for just one night. If I'm ever in Kyoto again, I'll definitely return to Hatsune Guesthouse :D Thank you so much Kevin!

Located in the centre of Kyoto, 雅 is a recently renovated accommodation, which provides soundproof rooms. The air-conditioned accommodation is less than 1 km from Gion Shijo Station. Best place in Kyoto. The host is very helpful and kind Thank you again

Set in Kyoto, less than 1 km from Gion Shijo Station and a 13-minute walk from Kiyomizu-dera Temple, 東山の宿 藤屋 offers air conditioning. The photos don’t really do this place justice. It’s such a little gem, and the host is just so incredibly nice and helpful. Would 100% recommend to anyone staying for a few nights.

In the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, close to Shoren-in Temple, Azukiya features a garden and a washing machine. A hot tub and a bicycle rental service are available for guests. The hostess is very nice and generous. She speaks fluent English and is very welcoming.

六根ゲストハウス Rokkon guest house features accommodation located less than 1 km from the centre of Kyoto and offers a garden and a terrace. The location was excellent and room cosy, but the best part about our stay were Kayoko and the breakfasts. Every day when we returned to our room there was some lovely tea waiting for us. The breakfasts were lovely as well! Super friendly and helpful host :)

Situated in Kyoto, less than 1 km from Kitano Tenmangu Shrine and 3 km from the centre, KéFU stay & lounge features air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a shared lounge. Such a lovely place to base yourself out of in Kyoto. Clearly a lot of time and effort has been put in to ensure a lovely visit for their guests. We appreciated all of the small touches from start to finish. Couldn’t rate the place highly enough

Located in Kyoto and within 500 metres of Sanjusangen-do Temple, Kyo-Anthu Inn features a garden, soundproof rooms, and free WiFi. The inn and the room is very homey (cozy and comfortable). The hostess Emiko is really attentive and friendly, and gives great recommendations. The breakfast is delicious.

Family Inn Kei 慶 features accommodation within 3.2 km of the centre of Kyoto, with free WiFi, and a kitchenette with an oven, a microwave and a toaster. The place was very well organized based on guest needs. They communicated the check in details very carefully that even when we arrived very late, we didn't have any issue getting into to our room. The place was also very clean.

Set in Kyoto, less than 1 km from Gion Shijo Station and 1.5 km from the centre, Woman Only Guesthouse Nanohana (Female only) offers air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a shared lounge. Awesome staff and super clean facilities. Free coffee which I was not expecting at all

Situated in Kyoto, 2 km from Nijo Castle and 1.6 km from the centre, Machiya Hotel YANAGI features air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a garden. The house is a contemporary renovated town house, it is actually more spacious than the pictures shown and the lighter is much softer and warmth, there is a small backyard with a tiny pond in the middle, the 2nd floor have some interested hollow floor design with a foot bridge connecting the bedroom so you can see the first floor from the 2nd floor, the art collection such as some wall painting and slide door as well as the teapot collection is quite classy as well
