Featuring mountain views and a garden, 馬籠ふるさと学校 Magome Furusato Gakkou offers accommodation attractively situated in Nakatsugawa, within a short distance of Toson Memorial Museum, Magome Wakihonjin... From the very first moment, the staff was super hepful and informative. Gai (the manager) helped us with some tips about the nakasendo trial and to book some complex train tickets for the next days etc. Moreover, all the facilities were super clean, spacious and we just love it this place. A truly wonderful place to stay - a calm and restorative house, well cared for by the host. There are several rooms, and a beautiful garden. The furnishings are traditional and comfortable. The host was also really helpful, and suggested a good place to eat.

Cozy room with a writing desk overlooking a beautiful view of the mountains. Bathrooms and showers were very clean, nice breakfast/kitchen area.

The husband and wife of the property live next door and were very kind and attentive to our needs. We were running late to see the Ukai show so that helped us with a speedy check in process. We have been on a motorcycle road trip and I can’t say how well we slept at this property. And they have a lovely dog that entertained us too. We will definitely be staying here again on our future road trips. I highly recommend staying here. Rooms are clean, showers are great, and great company. They have motorcycle parking too!

Location is good, only 2min walk from bus station. And there’s a family mart just around the corner. All the area was very clean! The host was friendly and speak good English.

A 6-minute walk from JR Takayama Train Station, 力車イン Rickshaw inn offers non-smoking Japanese rooms and Western rooms with free Wi-Fi, an LCD TV and a private bathroom. A free-use kitchen is on site. We loved the staff and how kind and helpful they were.

The location is very good. Right at the down town. There’s a paid parking in front of the place. Everything’s clean and neat. And the staff was nice, we arrived early and we can checked in early. It was very helpful since we were traveling with kids.
