Last but not least the host is very kind and answers very quickly. We had an amazing stay :)

The pictures and description on the site was exactly what we got. It was just PERFECT and gave us the Japanese experience. Our host was the sweetest and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. There are add-ons if you stay like bike rentals and breakfast but we didn't take advantage of it but we could smell her cooking every morning and it smelled AWESOME. We wish we would have taken advantage of that. The location was perfect for us. It was far enough away from the city center for us and in walking distance to the places we wanted to visit. It was also very close to the subway that we used to start our trek back home. All in all, this place was everything we expected and even more. We hope to visit again in the near future.

The hosts were so nice and made everything feel easy while we were there. We just needed one more night in Kyoto and this place was so much better than the first place we spent most of our time. The room was small, but just what we needed. There was good tea and when we realized we had missed printing a ticket that required a hard copy they printed it for us quickly and made sure we had it right away. I loved the breakfast here. It was a nice mix of things and they let us sit in the larger room since no one was staying in it when we were there. We will for sure try to make it back to this location when we make it out to Japan again!

At the inn, the rooms are fitted with a wardrobe. Every room is equipped with a safety deposit box and some rooms also feature city views. At Kokonoe Machiya the rooms are equipped with bed linen and towels. Great place. Amazing location and Tony, the host, made it so much easier and comfortable for all of us in there. It is clean and nice and they offer traditional breakfast that's incredible. It was an incredible experience to stay there and would definitely recommend it to friends and anyone else.
