A traditional Icelandic breakfast is served every day at Vogafjos Café, located in a cowshed 3 minutes’ walk from the guesthouse. Dinner based on local produce, such as smoked lamb and trout, is also served here. We stayed in a Superior King room and loved it! The room is spacious, nicely decorated, with all the needed amenities. It’s located a bit further away from two main blocks, and thus is quieter. A great bed with a selection of pillows (my neck was complaining after several hotels offered only very think pillows), a sitting area and well heated bathrooms (we stayed in Jan, it was important :) Loved the restaurant of the property. The breakfast was very nice, the dinner selection coould be bigger / different, but the dishes we ended up trying were good.

Perfect place to stay! Because of a weather alert we stayed here one night longer and it couldn’t be better for us! The room was really nice and clean! The breakfast really good and the common area like the kitchen and the living room perfect for the evenings ! Highly recommend! And last but not least it’s surrounded by amazing landscapes!

The room was average and unfortunately was not the room we booked (was meant to have a desk in it). The guesthouse had an unusual smell but overall it was clean. Great location and the receptionist was lovely.
The host was very friendly, the house was a dream and the breakfast was delicious. Also, the views were breathtaking. You can tell they care and they are proud of their guesthouse and farm. It was a pleasure being there!
We absolutely loved staying here. The guesthouse is lovely, the kitchen is huge and room was basic but still felt very cosy. We saw the northern lights perfectly, what a great location! There was also 2 farm dogs running around, who were so friendly and cute! The free breakfast in the morning was amazing as well. This is probably our favourite guest stay in Iceland! Highly recommend!
Great location at the Myvatn Lake side but still quiet at night, very comfortable beds and bedsheets, great breakfast selection. Free coffee in the lobby, pool table, hot tub and sauna outside. Heating very strong and immediate warmth in the room after switching on. Bus groups hotel stopover for the night, but not disturbing.
great location at the lake Myvatn, very comfy and quiet rooms with floor heating, great restaurant with delicious dishes (dill cured arctic char, beef burger, lamb shank) and nice beer/alcohol selection, cow farm where you can pet the cows and see the farmers milking them through the windows.

Self check in was super smooth and allowed us to be flexible with time. quiet, warms and cleans rooms, maybe on the smaller side of things. great location with lots to do in the area.
We spent 4 days in this place, in a quiet camp. A perfect guest house we loved in the middle of fabulous Myvatn area. The contacts were quick and very nice, efficient and very cool. The rooms are very clean, very comfortable. No problem parking the car just in front of the door of the house. Simply great !
Great location, nice breakfast overlooking the lake, pretty quiet location
great host! he gave us a lot of tips about Mivatn zone. we had the opportunity to use the kitchen and the laundry machine. Furthermore the host bakes very good cakes and bread ;) The lodge is great, all surrounded by nature, very quiet and peaceful
