There are several walks accessible from the farm. The area is known for a very special geological history. The evening fossil talk provided many insights into a time period I had never heard of. The information was informative and presented in an entertaining way that kept everyone interested. The room was very clean, the linen exceptional. I particularly enjoyed the historical farmhouse (built in 1776) where meals were served. The staff was very helpful in answering questions and providing customs meals.

Situated in Cradock and only 19 km from Mountain Zebra National Park, Denmark Farm Stay features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. It was great there. Cabin is so romantic. All you need in the kitchen is there. Beds are comfortable. Hosts are great. Very nice farm, lots of things to explore around.

The hosts, Roger and Judy were a delightful couple who went out of their way to be helpful and made sure we had a comfortable and tranquil stay. Situated in Hillvue, Hillmoor Stone Cottage offers free bikes, a garden and a barbecue. Guests can benefit from a patio and an outdoor fireplace. Very peaceful and relaxing. Got to experience what life would be like on a sheep farm in the freestate. Bedrooms are comfortable and each one has its own bathroom, water pressure in the shower is amazing. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils and self-catering is made easy. Freedom to take long walks was also nice bonus to have as he scenery is beautiful. Lots of photography opportunities around the property as well. Our visit was in summer after some rain but I imagine winter would be really enjoyable around the fires with delicious wholesome meals. We would love to return one day.

Situated just 21 km from Royal Port Alfred Golf Club, Kingston Farm features accommodation in Bathurst with access to an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, as well as room service. The attention to detail, for example they provided soap, body wash, tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. The breakfasts were amazing. Carla is a very talented chef. The rooms were big and it was handy having the little kitchenette, table and chairs and couch.

Fairbairn Guest Farm is situated in Maclear. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The accommodation was brilliant. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Setting was stunning. Especially watching the rain fall while sitting on the porch. The service from Eben was spot on. He was very helpful and, when requested, he gave us great advice on travel routes.

Featuring garden views, Soloko Game farm provides accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a terrace, around 16 km from Assegaaibos Railway Station. The location is stunning, the hosts were accommodating and helpful and lovely. The house has lots of good features.

Finchley Farm Cottages is located in Willowmore and features a pool with a view and mountain views. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the farm stay free of charge. Comfortable farm stay. Perfect stop over. We were able to relax in a beautiful garden and enjoy the beauty of nature. We had all that we needed to make our stay enjoyable.
