Les Suites at The Cliff Bay features a heated outdoor swimming pool and a garden in Funchal. We stayed at this hotel for part of our honeymoon and loved our experience. The property was beautiful, the views spectacular, staff helpful and kind, room spacious and clean, and food fresh and delicious. We loved being able to hear the waves against the cliffs and the birds chirping. It's also helpful to note that you can benefit from using the amenities at the sister property next door as well.

The newly renovated 4-star Hotel Baía Azul is ideally situated a 4-minute walk from Funchal’s beachfront. Very nice hotel, well connected with test of Funchal. We started our 1 week holiday here The team was great, accommodate us earlier and upgraded us to a room with an ocean view. The spa is private but should be booked in advance. Fees might apply. Definitely recommend this hotel for your urban part of the trip

Set on a cliff in 10 acres of subtropical gardens overlooking the Atlantic, this 5-star resort features an oceanfront spa, 3 swimming pools and direct access to oceanic waters. Staff were friendly and extremely professional, location was stunning, gardens were beautiful (we particularly appreciated the little garden map we got at turndown one night), loved that there were sunloungers everywhere

A delightful garden with many types of flowers, two pools where you could enjoy the sun or read a book. We received a fancy room with a nice big bathroom. Very good and diverse breakfast.

The location was very close to the beach which was great fun, the breakfast buffet was splendid and the kids really loved it. View from the room was great and the indoor pool was good for relaxing and swimming.
