Renovated in 2018, the 4-star Hotel Alto Lido is located in Funchal’s prime area – Lido, 2.5 km from the city centre. Excellent hotel, great facilities, staff and breakfast. Could not fault this hotel.

Located close to Funchal’s city centre, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Meliã Madeira Mare offers free WiFi, an indoor and outdoor pool and a spa. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Every late afternoon we received two pieces of chocolate.

Set in tropical palm gardens with 2 swimming pools and views of the Atlantic Ocean, Hotel Girassol offers modern and spacious rooms with private balconies. Very friendly staff. The hotel was clean and breakfast was exceptional with plenty of options.
