Attractively situated in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, Rinn Gion Shirakawa is situated 300 metres from Gion Shijo Station, 600 metres from Samurai Kembu Kyoto and 1.2 km from Shoren-in... Excellent location right in the center of Gion. Room was lovely and spacious and beds were very comfortable. The receptionists were lovely and friendly, we really enjoyed our stay and will be back!

The Gate Hotel Kyoto Takasegawa by Hulic features a restaurant, fitness centre, a bar and shared lounge in Kyoto. Great and very clean! Staff is very friendly and polite, breakfast is nice too. Beautiful building!

Cross Hotel Kyoto is set in Kawaramachi Sanjo and provides rooms with warm wooden decor featuring Kyoto-style architecture and free WiFi. Location was perfect for the usual tourist sightseeing and a stone throw from tons of eating places, including the ones on famous Pontocho alley. Our room was very clean, enough spacious and, very important for jet lagged travelers, very quiet. Reception staff was very helpful and English speaking, luggage forward to next hotel was a breeze (and also prompt forwarding of a pair of shoes forgotten in the room:) )

This is my 3rd stay at this hotel. The room is very big & comfortable. Nice view of Kamogawa River. Location is superb close to Sanjo & Gion where so many restaurants are closed by. Also close to bus station and convenient stores.

The acomodation was excepcional, very good localization, the room was perfect and the staff was really nice. Perfect stay in Kyoto!

Hotel Okura's elegant rooms boast spectacular views of Kyoto against the backdrop of the Higashiyama Mountains. Posh, classic hotel in the perfect location. Loved the origami in the rooms and hallways/

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Miru Kyoto Gion is located in Kyoto, 300 metres from Gion Shijo Station and 1.2 km from Shoren-in Temple. It was lovely to have high quality croissants and coffee for breakfast. Maybe some fruit would have been a nice additional touch? We loved the personal contact with the staff. On tablet with information was great and it had useful restaurant information however if we asked reception for restaurant recommendations all they did was point us to the ones on the "app" and ask us to choose one. They should participate in some family in local establishments so that they can make good recommendations. All the staff were friendly and warm and most have excellent to good English. We particularly appreciated that use of the laundry was complimentary. Our room size was fabulous but we did have the largest room available. For a lengthy stay this made things really comfortable.
